Sure it will. Prices may not come down to pre- this time panic, hoarding etc, but they will come down. This isn't the 1st time it's happened, nor will it be the last. Have patience and save your ammo money til then. Then stock up. Or, buy now shoot 'em all up and go buy more. Manufacturers, distributors, and sellers love it, altho not the local gunshop. They are being ripped off too.

Yep, I bought a no frills DPMS Oracle a couple years ago, ~$400. Only thing I did to it was optics and a drop in $100 trigger.

Glover has some really good videos and a lot of good insight. Most of the podcasts I've heard him on (Andy Stumpf, Free Range American, etc) stretch out to 2-3 hours.

The good news: cantilever mount puts my scope at perfect height and eye relief for me.
The bad news: my brass catcher doesn't fit anymore. :(

I finally broke down and replaced my broken gun vice with another basic one but a little nicer.

I used to run 1.6" and now I run 1.93"

I did it originally to clear my laser, but I like the more upright head position

I like my glass as close to the bore center line as possible. As I learned, that doesn't work with an AR.

I’m building my first AR. Anyone have suggestions for a barrel wrench, an upper-receiver action block, and a bench-mounted vise? I’m not sure if there are any other tools I will need, but I’m open to suggestions, as I’m sure this won’t be the only one I build.

Barrel wrench is going to be determined by the handguard you plan to use (most free floating handguards attach to the barrel nut). I normally buy smithing supplies from MidwayUSA or Brownells. You will also need a castle nut wrench for the buffer tube (unless you are running a stock that uses an A2 buffer tube)

A few more items I would highly recommend:
Avid Pivot Pin Tool. I just picked one up on a fluke, but it will save you a lot of heartache and headache.
Roll pin starter & roll pin punches

After looking on Midway a bit, there appear to be a handful of AR specific tool kits that will have everything you need and more (sans handguard specific barrel nut wrench). They aren't particularly cheap, but if you are going to build a few, it would probably be worth it.

Thanks for this. I bought a BCA barrel with hand guard, so I might have to wait and see if it’s proprietary and comes with one..not sure really.

Understood. I don't have any experience with BCA's stuff, but from the looks of it I doubt there is a standard barrel nut under there.

ETA - good luck with your build!

    @Choco_Taco

Did you buy a complete upper or just all the loose parts? Your earlier post looks like a complete upper so you don't need all those tools

A good castle nut wrench, some roll pin punches and hammer, and maybe the pivot pin tool are all you need to build the lower

Order an oops kit, small springs, roll pins, etc,,, they're very cheap, especially if already paying to ship other items. Even if you don't send a detent spring in to orbit, it's good to have these for repairs.
    Something like this

I wouldn't take it apart. Just shoot it. If it doesn't work, send it back. If you don't trust BCA, buy an upper from somewhere else more reputable.

Frankly I wouldn't send a dime to BCA..... But that's just me.
