Instead of using a metal crimp ring it uses a plastic expansion ring, spread it out with a tool slip on the fitting and the memory sucks it back tight. Made by Uponor

pretty much all I use now exclusively unless I need to sweat something old

That seriously looks like my cousin's wife.

A couple years ago it was snowing, my cousin came by the store in his old Tahoe. I ask him if he had been pulling his wife behind it on a sled in the snow. He said "no, I don't want to tear the transmission out". My wife slapped his hand, he said "what, that snow is rough on a trans"

Fab shop lasered this stainless out for us and welded it to be water tight

I did drill and tap the holes in the end plates before assembly

We are officially down for maintenance. You don’t have to know what you’re doing, you just have to act like you know what you’re doing :anonymous:

Would it be hard to make the jack bolt holes the same as the ones that hold it down so the person taking it apart doesn’t have to go find two bolts to jack the plate off? Come on engineers :D

Little known fact that may affect how this goes down. On my old Husqvarna, I took the deck off about 10 times in the last few years of owning it, so I’m assuming this should go well. The 2nd advantage is that I’m stopping by her place tonight and have the forethought to hit all the hardware with some JB-80 to avoid a struggle.

    but we’ll see... :tinfoilhat:

Remember that bearing puller you’ve been wanting to make for 10+ years? No time for that now

Well, I stuck the shovel in deep this time! I know what my weekends are going to consist of for the rest of the year.
It’s the kids only Christmas gift from us this year.
I joked with my oldest son about building a lean-to on the side for parking... I’ll have to branch this build off to the woodworking thread.
Now to shop for a new miter saw!:D:spending:
