Compatible yes. One drawback is they aren't USB rechargeable. One charge can typically last a weekend, but will be an issue on longer trips.

The Cobra radios I use are on sale at Best Buy's web site for $80, but verify shipping time since it's coming from a 3rd-party seller: https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/produc...-mile-two-way-radios-with-vox-2-pack/12612395

Usb isn't a dealbreaker. I got 3 for $73. Just that they say FRS. From what I've read, Although confusing, FRS and gmrs are the same in terms of working together at least

That's another way of dealing with battery life - when the first radio dies, switch to a 2nd or 3rd one ("New York reload" for radios)

if i was buying radios again i would be sure to not buy the kind that recharge in a dock but instead get the ones that have a plug directly into the bottom of the radio and into a lighter plug. the dock works but can be a PITA.

So I'm wheeling Sunday and maybe ¾ of the way through the trail I hear a clicking sound coming from what appears to be the front right wheel. The sound increases and decreases with the speed of the wheel. I'm freaked out thinking I busted something. I seem to go through wheel bearings a lot so I'm thinking that's what it might be. Decide to turn around and head back. Noise disappears and the drive home was normal. Haven't heard anything since Sunday.
Yesterday pulling into parking lot at work on the morning I hear it again as I'm backing up to park. Noise sounds different but it's noticeable. This pin falls to the ground and I have no clue where it might be from. I think I may have picked something up on the trail and it was lodged until now.
One end is mushroomed and the other has a small hole for what could be a cotter pin. Anyone have any ideas?

Brakes. That looks to be a guide/slide pin on your brakes. Keeps the pads in and allows them to move.

Front brake pads are held in by a pin like that?

Also with regard to your wheel bearings. How does the cv seal sit against your aftermarket spindles? Is it sealing? thought is your getting mud and the elements in there causing it to wear pre maturely because of poor sealing.

does anyone actually use crawl control or MTS or is it something you try a couple times and say... cool... then never use again. serious question.

I've used it a couple times to try if. Whether I use it again is yet to be seen. I can envision scenarios where I can use it I just haven't been in those scenarios yet
