Evening y'all! Had a super busy weekend. Swapped out my engine with a used one with around 110k miles. It looked super clean whenever I pulled the valve cover off. Took about 20 hrs from start to finish but everything is normal so far.

Did a few maintenance items while I had it apart including
    - rear main seal
    - valve cover gasket
    - spark plug tube gasket
    - pilot bearing
    - SPEC stage 2+ clutch was reinstalled
    - oil change w/ toyota filter
    - intake manifold gasket
    - exhaust manifold gasket
    - water pump swap
    - 170* t-stat
    - new spark plugs
    - coolant flush
    - metal coolant bypass pipe

Afternoon y'all! Got some updates for the truck I've been working on the past couple of days.

Broke down on the way home last week and it turned out I nearly popped the IGN fuse while doing the motor swap the weekend before. It was hanging on by a thread apparently and then finally just gave out. Left me on the side of the road but I got it figured out thanks to the smart folks on TW!

After that, the truck has been running good for the past few days so I started bolting on some of the upgrades I had laying around. Reinstalled my URD power pipe, o2 sims, AFR gauge, and URD s/c. Also made some aluminum brackets to relocate the oil cooler for the blower since I changed front bumpers. Fit it under the passenger headlight to try and keep some good airflow across it. I also reflashed it to the stock URD s/c tune that URD provides. I had a more conservative tune on it last time with less timing since the old motor was having some issues. It feels especially peppy now! If it can stay reliable I will be stoked with it for my daily driver

Good mornin folks! I tried installing this cheap catback exhaust yesterday and to my surprise (insert sarcasm) the inside of the muffler is vibrating up against the case and making a terrible clattering noise. I thought it was the tail pipe rubbing on the body at first, but after removing that section, it still was there so i have narrowed it down to the muffler i think. Anyways, i reached out to the company i bought it from but i dont expect them to do much, so i bought a borla 2.5" offset/offset notched muffler last night. If all goes as planned, i should be able to cut the old one out and clamp the new one in. The quality of the materials seemed pretty good other than the muffler. Using a magnet it looks like the flanges were 409 stainless while the tubing was all 304. A good starting point for the price imo.
