Just that you might have a bit of slip if it gets in there. I felt that the last time that I was out and the trails were flooded in spots. My friend said that it was up a bit over the door seals in a spot or two.

There is a drain slot at the front of the bell housing.

The simple fact is that brake rotors are similar and get wet all the time.

Roger that - makes me a feel a little better. So it's not the end of the world, but getting grit in there i think worries me much more than getting a little water in there.
    Still gonna send it!

Grit should be limited. A rev or two should spin it off the friction plate and clean up the FW / PP surfaces.

Funny you pointed this out. The dealership started the conversation with saying I had mud in my transmission. I instantly called him out on it then he changed his story by staying it was stuck in mud. Pretty sure the only mud my truck has seen this year in utah is mud I made after cleaning my truck.

Standing on a clutch at red lights does absolutely nothing-nada-zero to wear the friction material of a clutch. The only wear in that instance would be on the hydraulics and throw out bearing.

Any updates on this from any of the posters that had early failures in 3rd Gens? Curious as I have put 5k on a 2020 ORS MT I purchased with 15k and have had similar experience with backing a 3k lb trailer on a slight incline since the R gear is so tall. So tall it requires some riding of the clutch to appropriately back in tight situations. If occasionally backing in this situation will cause parts to wear out then this is poorly designed.
I will be approaching the dealer I purchased the truck from and inquiring about the issue in the next few days. The truck has now started shuddering when starting in 1st gear with no trailer attached.

I had the clutch in my RSX Type-S go out at 12000 miles, I fought it, they found the 5th gear synchro was a little screwy - even then they only covered half the costs of the clutch.
