Engine Oil Cooler

Do you by chance know whether adding an external oil to oil cooler would add additional stress/strain to the engine to push oil through the system which is not designed for it?

 

It won't.

 

You will be WAY over weight after you load up a dry 3900 lb trailer,good luck.

 

Greddy sales team just replied :
"Unfortunately we do not offer anything for your truck. We do have a good amount of oil cooler core universal kits. We also carry the Toyota thread pitch to run the sandwich plate adapter. You'd just need to custom make the hose."

I'm a little confused. I was only asking which sandwich plate adapter would be compatible so I could buy.

 

I spent less than 15 seconds searching their website to find the piece you want. Which matches the one in my photo.

The thread pitch is 3/4x16UNF.

So what confuses you?

4 ports. Which effectively leaves you room for oil temp and pressure. Thermostatically controlled.

Did URD start carrying a sandwhich plate for more than just sensors?

 

not that I’m aware of. I figured the 2 extra may be the kicker. Was not 100% sure a bit née for me.

Not sure about him, but I was @Torspd . I got broken down twice when I took the road to Moab with my old mom in my car
We broke down 3 times due to over heating, and I kid you not, when we got back, my first thought was to drive straight to the a Ford or Chevy dealership and trade this in.
I spent a ton of money to buy a new alumnium CSF radiator and DEO's high speed electric fan and OVTune's bigger oil pan (which is sitting in the garage, might just sell it).

 

On both yes need to upgrade the trans cooler almost toasted it over the summer never good to see the trans light come on. While I’m at it I want would be good to add some pressure/temp or additional cooling where I can. Just a bit loss at where to start.

Already have the CSF which was part of the issue. Stupid “ its drop in” setup was not sealed enough.

I am another with the DEO electric fan to replace the clutch version which will be here next week.

I think you mentioned the Derale with fan. May try that, I just need a heavy duty one that’s for sure.

 

What's this about? My truck and CSF radiator is back home in California, and I won't be back for a long time as I am in DC. I haven't installed it, it's sitting in my garage.

 

It’s known for having a gap from radiator to shroud. The mounts stick out a tad too far. folks have added a seal between to help seal it up. Right now I have HVAC temp tape around the sides. If they would fix that then all would be good. Maybe. They have but that was a major issue. That and bent mounts from shipping.

 

Does anyone know which of the following two hoses that goes into Trans cooler is Hot Coolant IN and which one Colder Coolant OUT.
I have marked/annotated the TWO hoses 1 and 2.
