I put B33 on my 2019 within days after it was announced and provided here after having been running stock tune since the beginning of fall (I had gone to a dealership with it to negotiate a trade for a 2020 MT) and after about a week (I didn't drive much) I noticed it was indeed more comparable to the basic tune of Mat's I had on it before than it was B30 stock. I still got rid of it for a 2021 MT about a week ago but B33 was far more tolerable and predictable than B30.

For me, I have no regrets on the switch. The AT was never going to cut it; Mat's tunes made it far better but even they fell short. Once he supports C30 I'll be all over that but even as stock I personally find she drives better than even the tuned AT. I also drive transit coaches around five days a week with their often lurchy and lunging transmissions so I found I became incredibly sensitive to my own truck.

I felt that there was some OVT creeping into the latest TSBs. I had 04B14 Stock for a couple tanks and I got a chance to drive @vecdran 's 2020.

 

Why don’t you just download more ram?

If switching laptops does one have to buy the software license all over again? planning on giving away my macbook that has a windows vm with ovtune. although since i’ve already flashed i don’t see a big need to flash again, but just in case.

 

No need to buy anything ......... contact Mat via Zendesk to get a new registry key ..... You'll need to give him your new System ID

 

Why not just save the data file that the VM lives in to an external drive and copy it to the new laptop?

 

the new laptop is the apple silicon on ARM architecture, could give it a go but not sure the ovtune binaries are built for arm windows and i wouldn’t expect them to

 

They aren’t, they are x86. There isnt currently a way to run that on the new MacBooks, but that may change in the future.

 

I thought the Rosetta 2 translation layer would run older x64 arch binaries, but some digging shows it runs "most" binaries and doesn't support VM programs like Parallels or VMware.
