How many damn offroad capable toyotas do you need to own? Something keeps you staying on them.

Trade up on a f150...? Not sure how to reply to a thread like this lol

Toyota sticks to what works .. if it sells why change it . Other company’s have to offer new things to keep customers loyal . Toyota does not have that issue .

There's always RCV chromoly cv axles, though that ushers in the debate on whether or not if the CVs are no longer the weak link, then that might cause more expensive things to break. Either way I know a few guys that run the RCVs and are happy with them.

    They ain't cheap though

Ok so ifs isn't the best for hard wheeling. But don't guys keep extra cv shafts on board? Guys that wheel hard with lockers and solid axles, don't they carry extra driveshaft on them?

I’m surprised it took this long for Toyota to put LEDs in these trucks...

The other brands have the latest features, but Toyota is slow to advance for a reason and that has to do with making their name in reliability. I'd argue Ford is more reliable in the long run than GM, and GM more than FCA. But, from what I understand, they all lag behind Honda and Toyota.

I helped a co-worker buy a 4r and she was coming from a GMC SUV. I was blown away by how many features the 4R lack compared from other manufacturers who have to really try hard.

An example that does not matter to me but does to others is the automatic rear lift gate.

Again, not a big deal, but to not even offer this in a Pro trim that goes for $55k is arrogant.

Those kinds of things are available for a small uplift in a tech package so it's not like it's hard or expensive.

Not really serious, I just didn't know how to reply. I mean I think I tried...

You owned multiple toyotas and jeeps so far. Get on a Ford next. That new bronco is looking amazing. MT 7th crawl gear? Yes please

Maybe you have too much personal investment in a company where you are only the consumer.

OK now I get it.. You want a solid axle. It sounds like you want your old Chrysler garbage jeeps back. Good luck!

no, not at all... The exact opposite... I want toyota to bring back a toyota pickup that is 65" wide with a solid axle and a 22r comparable motor...

Damn straight. OP should look up the disaster of the ecodiesel when it was in the ram. Talk about reliability issues. On top of that, it got recalled for emissions.

We can wish all we want, but doubt things like this would ever happen again.

Dude you have 3 yotas... Take that old 1st gen and mod the fuck out of it. Solid axles, double t case, lockers. The whole deal why not?

My 1st gen is rusty... ive done the whole frame restore but i can't justify 6k on a 3 link with this truck... the fj is an option but the wheelbase is super short. excuses i guess. i prob should just build the FJ since a 3 link is available.
