is CZ5AN one of the options? I can't tell from the pic. It looks like it could be CZ3 or CZ5. If its CZ5AN, that is what my vin is, and its a 2021. I wonder if this update will be expanded to the 2021s

There has been ECU flash TSBs for every MY so far. The bigger issue is that there are some that have been skipped over on the latest batch. Such as 2016 / 2017 ATs, the 2018s, and 2019 MTs.

The TSB in this thread should already reflect the 2021 04C00 / 04C20 and 04C30 factory tunes. The indicator there will be if 04Cx1 tunes start being discovered.

I had this done on my 20 trd sport about a month ago. This is a slight improvement over stock but it's definitely not a fix. I absolutely hate driving my truck at 40mph. I'm not sure what gear it's in at 40mph... Probably 5th but it will be turning 1000-1100rpm and the truck still stutters/hesitates. It also feels like a misfire/detonation/going lean. I've had thoughts about getting rid of the truck because it's so terrible at 40mph.

    A few.
Ive experienced that on my 2019 on a regular basis. 40-50 mph with light pressure on the throttle on level ground. Its a still a little early to tell but Ive noticed that it seems to be gone after having the fuel pump recall done last week.

I just saw that post showing that 2020s are in the recall but my vin isn't showing like it's apart of the recall...im not sure how to find the build date with my vin. Hopefully I'll be included soon.

My experience is that the truck drives great after the reflash but once the truck has learned your driving habits after a couple hundred miles, it’ll revert back to stuttering and hunting for gears.

You are very knowledgeable, and always very helpful; and that is much appreciated - Thank You!

Regarding TSB-0092-20: Where would I find the CUW File so that I could then flash my ECU ?
    Thanks.

You're welcome! The ECU updates have done a lot of good things for me.

The CUW files are attached to the 1st Post of the ECU Update thread. See the link in my signature.

Yes I looked in the ECU Update thread, but I didn't see the CUW file for this update.
Is it perhaps too soon for it to be available?
And, where do you get the CUW files from?
    Thanks.

    You're welcome.

I try to keep the 1st Post updated with any new info. All the files are there.

The files have come from different sources, but these came from @Saeros .

Those are for TSB-0023-20. I'm looking for TSB-0092-20.
I suppose that I could be confused (this is all very new for me), but aren't those for different TSB's ?

That's not TSB-0023-20. That is the filename of the CUW file T-0023-20. Opening the CUW in NotePad:

My 20OR has a build date of 08/20 but "DZ5BN" matches my VIN, so I may have to look into this some more. My impressions are that I don't have as bad of gear hunting as others, but there is always room for improvement.

Thanks OP for the heads up!

    Oh, okay - thanks!
Evidently I'm in over my head on this stuff, and fearing a big 'boo-boo' I think that I will just forget about doing any of this stuff myself.
    Thank you for your assistance.

    You're welcome!

No way! I never flashed an ECU until the Taco. It is easy since we have step by steps in that post. I read everything that I could a few times, then just went for it.

It would be great if Toyota referenced the CUW files in the TSBs, but they don't. I believe they are linked to the new ECU IDs in the tables.

That said, I am certain that there are folks nearby that could help you flash. If not, hit me up if you're over this way. You might even twist my arm to go for a nice Saturday drive?
