Check out how a Hoover Toyota technician drove my truck.

So I took my truck (20 trd sport) in for an oil change and a "reflash" due to bucking/hesitation at 40mph-1000-1100rpm. The reflash only provided small improvements. I guess the technician didn't notice the dash cam in my truck. Got to love how these technicians treat people's vehicles. I brought it up to the service manager. I didn't want anything free but they didn't seem to take this very seriously. What would yall have done in this situation

Did you expect him to baby it after a reflash for your bucking/hesitation issue?

 

If you think this is excessive, you REALLY don't want to see how they transported your truck from the assembly plant to the dealer. Remember time is money, and these guys aren't paid well.

 

Are we supposed to be complaining that the guy drove without his seatbelt on for a bit?

 

I'm not seeing the issue here to be honest. It's a tech testing the truck, not a valet.

 

Let it go...the driver did nothing wrong.

 

His behaviour is indicative of the shop. I'd be in huge shit for this. But I unplug dash cams, we have expectation of audible privacy in the vehicles.

 

The pavement looks wet, mine breaks the tires lose too.

 

I was expecting a scene from Ferris Bueller, lol.

 

It was wet. And because of that I can definitely overlook the spin inside of the shop, but the others seem excessive.

 

Speed bumps didn’t serve their purpose.

I would expect the Tech to run it hard, to confirm the issue is no longer exists.
I would also expect the driver to brake for speed bumps, for the sake of the suspension components?

 

Truly don't care. I don't have trust issues or a dash cam. Did he break your truck? Did he scratch it?

Ehhhh. It's kinda shity imo. Running over speed bumps at speed seems less brutal though. Idk. Is it professional? No, is it the end of the world? Not even close.

Zero airtime. Disappointing.

 

Speed bumps are better at speed so the suspension does it's thing instead of having the truck roll around. It's a truck after all.

 

I know right? My wife knows two speeds... fast and insane.

 

Higher speed will wear out your suspension faster.

 

Yup, it was mildly aggressive. I came for a show and left disappointed. How would I have handled it? Waited for that tech in the parking lot with a lead pipe... Nah, laugh it off, your truck can handle it and so can you.
