Dude, it's a truck. Driving over those bumps doesn't even begin to cause wear.
Come spend a day with me and I'll show you normal wear and tear on a truck that will last for many years.

To me that's abuse...he's not test driving a Porsche, he's just trashing a Tacoma !, I'd complain about it and more...local TV stations love stories like that!

    Hmmm...don't think so.

Agreed. Hitting a speed bump at speed (55mph is a standard speed limit) will absolutely wear out suspension components faster then slowly "rolling around" it at 10-15 mph.

Definitely not professional. Won't break the Tacoma...but isn't the care you want the dealer to give your truck. After all, I wouldn't take a speed bump like that, so I wouldn't expect a "professional automotive technician" to take it that way.

That was no where near 55mph.
It's a truck. It will be fine.

Just because it's a Porsche doesn't mean you can beat the s**t out of it...not a professional job here.

I made a reference to a Porsche due to the high rate of speed, ofcourse not even a Porsche should be stepped on like that...just that the idiot tech was abusing someone's property, period. I work hard for my money and I personally wouldn’t tolerate that kind of stuff...if someone else is ok with it then that's their thing...not mine

On board with your thought process. It show a lack of care for someone else's property. Reminds me of how one drives a rental car...

I'm interested in how he pulled out into traffic with the cop sitting across the street. I assume it was gingerly, but you know what assuming does...

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
not exactly needed that amount of speed, but testing for hesitations after reflashes? yes. we may drive them a little harder than the customer. squealing tires is a bit excessive though. granted it looks wet there.

alot of hesitation problems are from people who drive the cars harder than most. so most techs will run the car a little more aggressive to try and recreate a hesitation.

I'm a technician and I will agree, he didnt need to race the engine or spin the wheels. He probably did it because it was wet out.
My guess is the bucking isn't when accelerating hard to 40, so it was uncalled for. I will state that we will drive a little harder at times to make sure things are working like they should and can help us in feeling for issues, but this doesn't seem like that.

No need for the way he drove it. I would link the video in a review left for the dealership. After that, forget about it.

That is the fastest roll up door ever, the seconds tick fast on the video, seems to be slightly sped up. The squeal of the tires inside the maintenance bay is easily accomplished on the glossy floors. Something just seems off about this post but what the hell do I know.

I would only be upset about the speed bumps. Everything else I would assume is acceptable when verifying the hesitation is gone. Now if you had come in for a simple wiper replacement and this happened then that's a different story.

I mean complaining about hesitation i think i tech would step on it... kind of wrong to do in parking lot over speed bumps though

I had something not similar happen at my 1st oil change, the technician stalled my truck, then rolled it out of the bay riding the clutch.... when i turned back to look at the guy at the desk he even covered his eyes not make eye contact

Lol he calmed down when he saw the cop and actually drove like a normal person after that.
