    You're right. It is different. Cam didn't receive anything, so there was nothing to pay back.

    He has been ruled eligible. Cecil solicited MISSISSIPPI STATE NOT AUBURN! Auburn shouldn't pay for anything nor should Cam unless he is PROVEN guilty. Get over it! Glad the NCAA rules on facts and not rumors on message boards, feelings and bad reporting.
    Now, who else thinks Wisconsin would jump in that second spot if Auburn or Oregon were to lose Sat or would Tcu or Stanford take the open spot?

    Yea that would prob be the case. Maybe its neither here nor there and Auburn and Oregon get to slug it out. Would be an awesome matchup for sure! Four more quarters of football and we will know. Can't wait till Sat! War Eagle! :D

    Sounds to me like Dareus was upfront and honest about what went down. Cam is still hiding in the shadows of "not knowing." Look at Georgia- AJ Green got in trouble, paid his time, and all is well now. I think this situation could have been used as a perfect example for the NCAA on what is not allowed. Instead, the association just showed a loophole in the system.

    I can agree with you on innocent until proven guilty. I just don't see how his father can be guilty and he innocent. When you bring a player into your program, you bring the family in too. When you're recruiting him, there usually is some kind of interaction with the parents/guardians. The parents also usually have some input on the kid's decision. It's not often that the parents have no idea what the hell is going on and then all the sudden the kid comes home and says "Oh by the way folks, I decided I'm going to play football for SCLSU next year," completely out of the blue. In the majority of situations (Cam's seems to fit the bill) it is a group decision after much discussion as a whole. (And yes, I know that Cam's dad made the final decision for him to go to Auburn.)

    Sorry my response took so long. I work nights into the early morning.

    There is no loophole. AJ Green and Marcel Dareus both actually got money. Cam and his father, according to the NCAA, received nothing. That's apples and oranges.

    The loophole has nothing to do with money. It has to do with Cam supposedly not knowing what went on. That's why he wasn't penalized; because he was not aware of the talks.

    You are incorrect. He would've been penalized at Miss State had he signed there. Just like Albert Means was penalized at Alabama, but not Memphis. So many folks are hanging on to something that's not there.

    NCAA= not very logical

    He's innocent because "he didn't know." So why would it matter which school he went to?

    ^ I'm not asking you that, I'm asking the NCAA.

    I think you're missing my point. Which is: this is a major FAIL by the NCAA.

    Yall have fun if you keep discussing. I'm going to sleep.

    Just saw this. He's on the same page as me.
