A bit aggressive for a dealer driver.

Leave a review for the shop including the vid and move on for your sanity.

You won't get much sympathy here, most here only give a shit if it's their own truck, someone else's.... "seemed fine, why you whining?"

Yeah, OP good luck getting much sympathy from this forum. I agree though, that driving is a little aggressive to try and replicate a 40mph cruising problem. Gotta love the classic "it's a truck its be fine" statement I see all the time here. Yeah, It's a truck and those speed bumps likely won't hurt anything, but god damnit it's my truck I'll be damned if anyone but me is going to beat the shit out of it!
I definitely wouldn't want a tech driving my vehicle like a rental, it reflects what kind of work they do in the shop; kind of a "fuck it, not my fuckin car" mentality.

Every once in a while you hear of a tech who takes his buddies on a joyride, burns out the tires, or even goes on a grocery run. If I see any of that shit on my dashcam I will be so enraged that I'll demand the SM's firstborn as recompense.

Getting squirrelly with the pedal in the back lot- sure it's mildly annoying, but that really isn't worth the time to squawk about. The tech doing my safety inspection gooses it far harder than that every year- with me standing there watching.

 that's how I looked at the speed bump thing - I wouldn't do it so I wouldn't want service doing it.

    Much adu about nothing.

Tires will squeal when turning or rolling on epoxy floor paint, typical for most shops. His driving over the speed bumps, not much. The speed bumps aren't in the severe size group. Wet pavement....easy to have a tire break loose.

Shop manager did the right thing. I'm sure he had a short visit with the tech. Doubtful of a reprimand of any sort.

Yeah, it’s like when you have the high schooler on your street house sit for a week. You shouldn’t get upset that she brings her boyfriend over, has sex everywhere, and snoops a bit. As long as she fed the cats and don’t steal anything, it’s fine. Chalk it up to extended studies in human behavior.

Nice shops have super fast bay doors, this is actually normal. Wastes time waiting for a slow bay door and lets the weather in.

Yep, the only fast thing I see in that video is the garage door.

The tech was driving on private property and not putting anyone in danger.

You stated he drove within the limits of the law while on the public roads, did you not?

I'd go to a new dealer if I were you.

You should see some of the doors we have in manufacturing, usually FDA regulated sites. some of them open at like 80 inches/second!

    Agreed

As for the speed bumps, my OR seems to handle them better at 10-15MPH. It doesn't seem to like them any faster or any slower. I didn't think this was much more than that, if at all.

Okay, I wasn’t going to tell this story but this thread is so 2020 I can’t resist. Way back when (1974) I worked at a Chrysler Plymouth dealership and one time a mechanic asked if I wanted to go with him on a test drive of a car he just repaired. This thing was a muscle car to the hilt! It had twin four barrel carbs (look it up on Google) and one of those huge Hurst shift levers that stuck straight up with finger grooves so your hand doesn’t slip off. The dealership was on a four lane highway with lots of other dealerships until you got to a bridge that separated one town from the next. He got on it a bit down past the other dealerships which for a teenager was great fun but when he got to the bridge he put the pedal to the metal and man o man that sucker pushed you back in your seat like a rocket sled. Good thing there wasn’t any cops around or dash cameras on that test drive!
