My daughter is right in the middle of spring bear... Apparently Bear camp is not what a little girl wants to do for her birthday lol.

My wedding anniversary is Nov 23. At some point, I asked my wife how she ever got me to agree to get married during deer season. She said when we were engaged she offered two dates for a wedding and I said go with the farthest one away. I guess I should have paid attention a little more. I've missed more than a few anniversaries over the last 30 years.

As far as deer processing. I do my own because I am very particular about my meat and the only red meat we eat is what I kill. I wouldn't have someone else do it for free. I actually like the meat producing aspect of hunting and enjoy filling my freezer my self. It takes about an hour to process a whole deer. I've got time for that. I've also got a very good grinder that will easily grind 3 or 4 deer in 15 minutes or less. When I'm doing burger, the most time consuming process is packaging. I don't care whether you do it yourself or not, but I do hope you are eating your deer, elk, moose, etc.

Depends on the girl. My daughter's birthday is in May and never turns down bear camp birthday parties. I think this was one day before her birthday.

PXL_20201112_132405908.jpg PXL_20201112_132356568.jpg I got married on May 1st (May Day!!) 28 years ago, a Friday, my wife's call. Honeymooned at my cabin in PA. May 2nd was spring gobbler opener AND I got to turkey hunt every day of the honeymoon and she picked the afternoon activities (hunting hours till noon only). Got my first turkey ("the Honeymoon Gobbler", actually a big Jake) on Thursday of that week. So, wedding day during hunting season isn't always bad!

On the topic of sent control. What is everyone's preferred brand of laundry wash, body wash, and spray?

I've never used any of it, I don't buy into all the hype and have deer on the wall to prove if you just hunt, you'll eventually kill something

Back when I started bowhunting in 83 or 84 all we did was grab a branch from a pine or cedar tree and rub it over our cloths when walking out.
