i was wondering if the westin or aries brush guard will clear the oem skid plate on my 09 tacoma? if anyone has any information on this, please let me know, i'm in the process of buying one and i want to make sure it clears. what other name brand out there will clear if these 2 doesn't? manik?? the reason why i'm curious too is because on one website, it said you will have to remove your skid plate, that's why i'm asking. please if anyone has info on this, let me know. thanks!!

Are you talking about this skid plate:

or the skid plate that protects the front differential (like this)?

The first one, I'm pretty sure, you will have to remove (or cut the tops of the holes for the bottom supports). The second one is not in the way.

BTW, that second picture is my '09 with the Westin Sportsman brush guard.

The manik is the same way. All of the brush guards and bull bars like that are going to mount to the same place, so none of them are gonna work.

    Sorry dude...

I painted mine 'Hammered Black' for a different look. And the silver didn't match anything else on the truck. Just fyi.

Rustoleum, took almost 2 cans to do both sides 2 coats each. There are many colors of the 'Hammered look', I used the black.
