Had a squeak coming from the driveline last week...lubed everything up and it was less prominent, but then it came back...so I bought a center support bearing figuring mine was looking pretty bad, it was probably the culprit, but after removing the front shaft I found the real problem was the rear U-joint so picked up one of those as well. The bolts used on the last repair left much to be desired to bought some new factory bolts.
All torqued up and back on the road today! Thanks Rockauto.com and Berkeley Toyota.

Well either way I'm sorry to hear it broke. I remember skipping out on 3° shims and selling the ones I bought for that truck's leafs because they actually caused a vibration when added in. But I also drove it exclusively when it was loaded down with about 800lbs so it rode rather flat, much less driveshaft angle.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Ya, I messaged the guy in Reno. Said he only wants to trade. Not sell.

Asked him what he was looking to trade, said... "what ever catches my eye."
    WTF? What ever dude :luvya:

Wouldn't even narrow it down :notsure:

I mean do you want Xbox games? A dune buggy? Cocaine?

Unfortunately, for what I'm trying to do, it's gotta be 95.5 to 97 (perferably 97)

It's all good. It'll get fixed. Ya, I was pretty sure you had it loaded up more than it is now (empty). My drive shaft to flange angle would be super fucked too without the weight I run daily. A product of the shock relocate etc I'm sure.

Someone just listed a complete 4.10 non-elocker axle in the CO trading post thread for like $350 a few days ago. Think it was even in the springs.

Ya... I saw that. He listed in the 1st gen parts marketplace too. I messaged him. Hoping he gets back to me. That would be a huge help.

Between the inner front fenders and the frame, the covers/shields/whatevers, is there a better option than the oem which, with the little plastic connectors, comes to a nice round $175 from the dealer?

You talking about the splash guards? I have the geartech ones, they're made by a member on here

    https://geartechcustoms.com/shop/ols/products/1st-generation-tacoma-engine-splash-guards-95-04

Much better than the OEM ones that fall apart and tear easily

Anyone know of an easy way to adjust ride height in King coilovers. Installed some yesterday. The truck is sitting a little too high in the front for me. Higher than it was with my previous setup. Looking to lower it abiut .5-1in to level it out. Just tried jacking it up right now and turning the coilovers but there’s really not much space to work with.

Added a scan gauge. For those how have it what do you like to watch? I added the transmission temp(TRN) which is what I was most concerned about.

I have mine showing RPM, battery voltage, intake air temp and coolant temp. I'll probably replace the RPM though with fuel trim readings once I figure out the x-gauge mode, haven't really played with it much yet.

RPM is just up there until I program in the fuel trims, it's the only one I didn't change from when I mounted it. Intake air temp was more a summer curiosity, supercharger likes cooler air and all. Now that its cooler outside I've noticed the IAT doesn't vary too much from whatever the outside temp is.

In the summer it could get pretty high, not that there's really much to be done about it. Just curious I guess

Once I understand ignition timing I'll probably put that one in it's place

Which is coolant temp, I’m not seeing it

I believe it shows on the gauge as "WT", aka water temp

I refuse to program in my gas mileage because I know it sucks already, I don't need the details

    That's what 'they' say

I used these, Aussie version of Whitelines. Local shop uses them.

    IMG_20200910_155713.jpg

Have had them on for a couple months now

I took a photo of the box in their office but that's not the specific part # to our trucks, just FYI in case anyone assumes it is

Did you see a large improvement from the (I’m assuming) factory bushings?
