2020 registration what are you paying by state

I live on the other side of the state but for a while I had forgotten to change my address from my old King Co one. Went to register my Lexus, $775... Changed address and came back next day, $78

 

74 bucks here in Texas...and if you do it online, you get a buck off...so 73 dollars. Also state inspection in my county is 7 bucks !

 

No fees here in Georgia. Pay a one-time tax when registering. I think it's $20 a year but I have a veteran plate so it's free in person or $1 renewal online (for shipping).

Included in that is my tag fee, and both city and county property taxes.

 

I paid $80 this summer here in North Texas for my '19 taco and $80 as well for my 05 Wrx Sti. I can't imagine how much it would be if I still lived in SoCal lol I use to pay about $170 for my '99 tacoma 4 years ago when I lived in Orange County.

 

And don't forget that in VA in addition to PPT you also have the vehicle inspection and in some counties the county sticker and possibly emissions. Those can add another $100 to the bill.

 

$100 in WI. Was $120 before I moved from one county to another. The county I moved out of tacked on an additional $20 for "road maintenance", but it had some of the worst roads in the state.

 

$740 for a 2021 pro initial registration in California. Ouch!!!

 

Bunch of lucky fricken' lightweights in this thread. $750 for the first year in CO. Now it's $650 on year three. Keeps getting slightly cheaper as the vehicle gets older.

$180 here near Syracuse NYs. Buuuut..., every time a vehicle is resold, new sales tax. .08 percent each time. Sell it 5 times , tax it 5 times.

 

It's like $720 I think for me, 2020 TRDOR. Cali sucks.

My 2017 was $425 back in April 2020. And that is with disabled plates. CA waives one of their fees for disabled plates, so my guess is my truck would have been close to $550 if I didn't have the disabled plates.

Part of this stupid cost is because several years ago, CA updated the laws to mandate that ALL pickup trucks have to be registered as Commercial, which of course adds a large extra chunk of $$$ to the registration fee.

 

2019 reg was $550ish
2020 reg was $500ish
2021 reg was $470ish

MN is not kind when it comes to registration until the car/truck is 10 years old. Then its a flat $40. Though I have collector plates and antique plates on my BMW and Dodge challenger. Those I dont have to pay any renewal on, but they are limited use plates so I cant drive them much.

 

$17 bucks in Texas.

 

Ouch. I'm paying $3800 this year on a house valued at a few bucks shy of $1M.

 

Kansas - $40 registration, $12.25 fees, $790 property tax

 

$832 for a 2021 Pro in Washington State

 

Is this annual or at purchase? I’m in WA and just renewed for $88.
