Thought I would start this up, when was your first time looking down gun sights or a scope. Shout out the gun, place you were at, and age, if you wish to.
For me.... It was a 50 cal mounted on a M113 personal carrier, In Butzbach West Germany at a place called area 44. I was 11 years old, that was in the late 60's or early 70's.
Been in the blood ever since.....:D

Mine was my old pump action .22 when I was about 7 or 8? I still have the .22 along with 30-06 rifle which I have still yet to fire. Killed my first deer with my dads Rem 280. I also just recently went to the shooting range at West Edmonton Mall and fired off the .44 magnum along with a variety of other handguns....now that was a lot of fun.

I was 9 or 10 and it was a lever-action .22 out on our ranch. I wish I still had that gun; my grandfather got it for my dad when he was a boy...

I was 8 or 9 with a .22 single shot bolt action Winchester on my parents' old farm. A couple months ago my dad gave me that gun. :)

Not sure about the first time i shot a gun, but i know the most memorable...I got home from school one day and decided i wanted to try to shoot...I had no clue what gun was what...All i know is my dad had a riffle in our gun cabniet with the shells laying beside it...All i knew at the time was this gun was HEAVY...and i wanted to shoot it...didnt know which caliber it was, I knew nothing about riffles...Only shotguns...

I pulled the 4 wheeler around, set up a pepsi can up on the fence...Figured out how to load it...laid the gun on the seat, looked through the scope and pulled the trigger...

The gun kicked back, scope cracked me between the eyes, sliced open my forehead, 9 stitches, knocked me back to the ground, left one hell of a bruise on my shoulder...I had no clue how to hold it...

Found out later on it was my dads........300 Ultra mag....!!!!!!

Never forget that day as long as I live...Looking back i realize how stupid that was...Now im the proud owner of that gun...Not sure how old i was...

I'll tell ya about the first time i shot a bow too...

Damn string skinned my forearm raw...Caught me right below the elbow, and went all the way down to my wrist...Left one hell of a burn, or scrape, or whatever you want to call it...All i know is it took the skin off and hurt like hell...

Our first gun was a Rossi 410/22 combo single shot. The first time we shot them we had a look on our face that was a cross between these 2 smilies:eek::D We were 6 years old.

We also now each have a Mossberg 500 youth 20 gauge turkey gun. Almost got a turkey this year too. When we shot that for the first time we just looked like this:eek::eek:

I was 10 years old when I got my first "Fire arm". It was a 20 gauge single shot shot gun. Shot it out in the desert with my Dad. Before that, I think my Dad bought me a rubber band gun when I was 4 or 5.
