See my above post, I'm not using it for a plasma. It's for a leak tester that has very low flowrates measured in cubic centimeters. Just looking for dryer recommendations.

Harbor freight has a dryer that a lot of us plasma table owners are using. It's pretty good except for some of the supplier fittings can be sketchy.

Do you have a good electrical supply on the truck?

If you are including the Esab Rebel 205 in the lower cost multi p machines, what is the more expensive ones?

Do you think now after they've been producing these, that they've worked some of the original kinks out and the newer ones will be more reliable?

I realize there's no way of "really" knowing what will happen, it's basically speculating...

Is there also fairly common problems with other brands high freq boards?

What’s everyone’s tips for measuring to notch tubing? I’ve never been good at it due to not knowing how to measure the angle or how to measure the exact length. I always just got it close and did multiple notches till it fit.

Something like the Miller PipeWorx but then your looking at @ $17,000.00 list price to start . Then any of the Multi Process machines till one buys the base machine and all the add ones to do the added processes the cost gets expensive.

Any Machines can have being born pains lets hope they have the major issues worked out . There was one line where the first generation of machines had no major problem the second generation seemed to have received a bad lot of boards

Any board is just the sum of all the components it only takes the supplier of boards to get a batch of something bad and you get any number of boards that may fail.. There is something to be said for the transformer/ rectifier machines being so much simpler compared to the inverter machines that seem to have a different board for every function .

Has Esab changed anything between your old machine and the new one it is hard to know.

You can only see what happens!!

I use and suggest a Motor guard M26 to my customers.

You want the filter as close to your Leak Detection Tool as possible unless your compressor is within reach 2'or 3' it is possible to pick up moisture from the air lines. I deal with customers that might be hundreds of feet from the compressor.

You will want to keep an eye on the filter depending on your air use to see how often it needs changed.

I am curious about a air operated Leak Detector

I've got those right before our plasma and media blaster they worked great in the summer even before we got a dryer and the other airlines would puke out water

Those two welds are the last before the 205 crashed.. As you can see around it the little frosted spots and black, that's what it started doing and then wouldn't arch off..

And I'd like to be critiqued, I may have an hour and a half if that with TIG... I've only practiced on a couple of pieces of scrap and only aluminum.

The only other welding I've done was many years ago and just MIG..

Does those welds look decent for the amount of time I've got TIGing?

I always just notch it a tad bit longer, fit it up and measure more precise to notch it one more time to get it perfect. It sucks when I try to notch it in one try and it comes out a little short. Lol

Not sure of your part of the country there is very little support I know of only one Company that sells and Supports them local they have not really caught on here yet.

Depends just what your looking for the welding functions or the communications ability I have yet to have any to play with my first concerns would be interference

Then you have the warranty .

Given the choice for about the same money I could have all the bells and whistles on a New Miller Syncrowave 300

They look good for a bead on flat. I always highly recommend showing actual joints (butt, tee, ect) and doing a etch test on it. You can learn soooo much doing that. Shows what's actually happening

Dealer wise is meh but they are damn nice machines. Really trying to enter the us market and not skimping to do it

Yeah, I plan on doing some practice like you mention.. Hopefully the new machine will stay working properly so I can use it long enough to get into all that.

Still have a few more things to finish up. Then wiring, paint, install spare tire on front for weight reasons, then should be about good to go F5C174D8-F800-467B-83A1-6D7D102BD891.jpg677D4EAC-270F-47BB-80CE-E0A3A316265C.jpg8070FD07-E678-456C-BCDD-7DDC19D449EE.jpgcame along ways from this

Too bad you just couldn't mount the tongue on the opposite end. Balance issues would take care of them selves.

Yep. It was perfectly balanced until I added the swing out on the rear... it’s barely unbalanced so I’m thinking with the spare up front it should be good

I would think that front panel being on the inside of the frame is going to catch and hold a lot of dirt.
