Nick @Darkgoatracer taught me this lesson long, long ago. They're in the glove compartment should they ever be needed.

Yeah, I know. But I don't like it THAT much. Lol. I'm just always on the lookout for Wellers. Its the same basic wheated recipe as PVW, which is impossible to find.

No, but when I wheel, I usually air down so the tires absorb most of the impact, and I run with the windows down.

This happened to my second gen a couple months into owning it. Put a little lock tite on that bolt and it hasn’t been an issue since.

The bolt must have loosened over time and then fell out at PMR. Just before getting to the end at PMR near Taskers at the last big open area I was going to get out and when I rolled down the window it went like seen in the pictures. Something must be wrong with the track towards the front because it popped out again afterwards. Will see what WarTown Toyota says this morning. Getting the fuel pump recall done.

Had posted on the 3rd Gen and some guy in Texas with similiar built date has a rattle in this front door so he might be having the same issue.

Hmmmmm, I have a vib/rattle in the window/mirror control area of the driver door...not likely this issue, but now my brain can't stop making the connection to this possible inner-door gremlin!!!

You should look. My window would rattle when it was cracked a little. Toyota tightened some bolt in the door. I wouldn't doubt it's this one. Use some Loc-tite, too. Mine's come back a little.

like Dave said.. Take a look. Said bolt in the front window track is located between the speaker and window controls. It’s is a 10mm bolt that screws into a thin metal bracket.

Damn it, now I gotta wait and pick up the puddle lights so I can also install the ultimate turn signals I've had laying in the mod box for a while now...
I've kicked around the sound deadening mod, it's on the possible future mod list, but the 10+ month old totally naps HARD in the Taco vs. the wifes SUV, so road and exhaust noise have been beneficial so far this year! 2021 and my "new" left hand abilities (surgery next Tuesday) might lend itself well to tackling the door/rear cab/floor/ceiling sound deadening mod! Figured between Randy and Dave's work up and experience, I'll likely only break and replace a handful of clips or bolts:bananadead:

Either way, I'm going to see what I can manage to do...but I won't be driving the Taco for a while, let alone getting out on any trail/off-road use, as I go under the knife Tuesday to remove the left hand/wrist tenosynovial cyst and steroid shots in the rest of my hand/wrist chambers for the tenosynovitis and inflammation. Hoping to be back to normal/done with PT in late January or sometime in February...

So Dave if you're heading to #randyFAB, make sure to allocate a day on the way down or back for sound deadening prep at my place on your way down the I-64 corridor!:rofl::rofl:

Time to make you all happy. Haha

I know the few times I’ve been out with some of you, I’ve been in the jeep. But DAMMIT I’m tired of it leaking water into the floor pan in a heavy rain. Holy shit it gets old! Carpet is out drying. Floor pan is now dry. Hole-e-shit!!! This mofo might finally have to go away.

That is my non Taco rant.

Unless, I add in the dealer shop boy getting oil smudges all over the front grill for it’s free 20k service. and a oil reminder sticker thing stuck to the passenger head light.

the sun is out, I’m still up right and breathing.. so all the rest is trivial.

I honestly don't know if that's something I want to do again! It's not bad really. I don't think I broke anything that wasn't already broken or mangled. These interiors come apart pretty easily. I think the worst part was wrestling the headliner out. Access cab would've made it super easy. Double cab sucked. I had to fold it over slightly to get it out and hope that folding it didn't cause permanent creases.
