Unless a shop doesn’t have a relationship with their distributors, there’s no issue staying open...stuff comes in daily but the person doing the buying for the store has to be on their email from 8am est to 5pm pst

How much did the ammo end up setting you back and where did you order it from?

$.40/round for the Win and $.37/round for the Wolf gold. I bought it second-hand off a popular gun forum. There's ammo to be had, just don't buy it from online stores, or you'll get raped. I'm even buying up ammo in calibers that I have no guns for. Just because, if the world tilts a certain way, gun stuff is going to be worth gold. Don't forget spare guns parts for the ones you have.

They’re limited to 1 per address and I’m not buying retail, paying sales tax, then selling retail plus markup

Bro, you need to hook me up with your store. Buying online is ridiculous. I'm all stocked up on my favorite calibers (5.56, 22 mag, 22lr, etc..), but I always want to stock up more.....besides, this binary trigger on my AR pistol eats up some ammo! (tracers are especially fun).

Does anyone have experience with AR's in the cold? (like ~15 degrees F).

Both my 223 and 300blk exhibited an odd thing I hadnt had happen before. Both the gun, magazine, and ammo have been exposed to cold temps (single digits at night, but "warming" up to ~15-20 when shot). They are completely separate guns lower/upper wise.

The 223 with a 10 round pmag gen 2 (downloaded to 5 rounds) and the 300blk with subsonic loads in a D&H 30 round aluminum mag (full 30 rounds), bolt close and shove the mag in. Charge the rifle and the round fails to go into battery. Drop the mag, pull back on the handle and round drops out. Now lock bolt back, single load the round, drop the bolt and it go into battery. Put mag in and start shooting and all is fine. Picks up rounds from the mag just fine.

Anyone experienced this before? The guns and magazines work just fine in warmer temperatures and have been used plenty together

I've shot my M4 at around -15°F with no issues.

What lube are you using? It might not be good in the cold.

One is CLP and the other is...o man i cant remember the name of it. Was a few years ago, they tried to sell it as the best thing ever and someone did a lab analysis on it and it was mostly canola oil....FireClean thats it. Still using up the free bottles i got of it lol.

However I will add my MP5-K and Scorpion Evo that both are lubed with Fireclean work just fine (mag inserted, bolt dropped, bolt goes into battery)

It’s not just type. Excessive lube likes to freeze too. Once you had your misfeed, it probably broke the bolt free in the bcg and you were fine after that. Lube is over rated in a gun that shoots rather fine without it.

The bolt works fine. I can single feed just fine (and do quite often). It's with the mag, cold, and first round only it's having issue.

Fireclean is overrated, to be nice lol.
It can happen, but I've never had it happen with M-Pro7, Slip-2000 and issued CLP and I lube them pretty good.

You need to use a lube that's rated for freezing temperatures.
You don't lube your magazine spring, do you

Used 5W-30 has been a great lube, no issues in my climate, try it in the cold climate and see how it works.
