Hi guys, not seeing many familiar faces here anymore... but I also have not been around much! Not so many A-TRAC or BAJA questions!

Well, if anyone is interested, the Baja 1000 is coming up next month (hello Speed Freek)... and my friend pits for Cops (TV show) Racing team and he produces a Score course map onto Google Earth so you can zoom in real close: https://pizzamanagement.com/portfolio/2020-baja-1000-course-map/

For a basic view of the course, I made this one up from the map Score first released (two images for more detail):

What’s up guys, gonna be starting my 4x4 conversion soon so I’m looking for a place that can press in and out wheel bearings/wheel hubs. Anyone have any recommendations? Thx in advance:thumbsup:

I had the truck shop do it, their price was decent. I took the spindles off and brought them to them

Thx man. Is that the name of the place? Also did you schedule an appointment or just brought them in?

If you don't mind, could you do a price break down when you get all finished? I really want to do this conversion. I know there will be a price fluctuation because of the generation gap, but the local pricing is what I'm interested in :)

If you have to pay someone else to do all the work it’s cheaper to sell your prerunner and buy a 4wd.

Right, but knowing what it would realistically cost (locally) I could determine what I can do on my own with the resources I have :)

For sure man. Right now I’m at around $1150-1200 but I still need to shorten my driveshaft

Are you converting a 2nd gen? If so, it's a lot more work.

The 1st gens are nearly a fully bolt in change, where as 2nd gens require more finesse to complete a conversion. Not impossible, it has been done, but much more work than a 1st gen.

    Ya my sr5 prerunner.

Good to know, I figured as much. I'm just trying to get as much info as I can. Comparing different gens is probably a stretch :D

You're looking at 10-15,000 for a shop to do it for you. This is why people say you're better off buying a new truck.

^ That's what I did. Cleaned up and sold my 2wd to buy a 4x4.

I’m looking for some 650 lb king coil springs for my king 2.5 coilovers locally. Does anyone have any leads?
