Picking mine up Monday and really hoping there aren’t multiple tent versions. Sounds like GFC and their tent v1/2/3 shenanigans again -_-

My install date was supposed to be yesterday, the 11th and it got pushed a bit. Did you install move around at all?

It has not, Cindy emailed me earlier this weekend and told me “parts were being painted and it will be a race to the finish”. And then she asked me if my trip was planned out yet...

I’m going to turn and burn essentially, full drive up from Socal and a sleep stop on the way back in the camper. Funny story I drove up to Bozeman for my GFC and was told a couple hours out that it wouldn’t be ready for a few days. Wonder if I’ll get the shaft again this time too!

Yeah I was told mine was getting painted recently too, but since I'm local Cindy asked me if she could just email me a couple days out from install. No firm date but it should be soon. Hoping the black one they're building on insta is mine! Very impatiently waiting!!

Got called tonight, I am delayed indefinitely. Issues with the doors not fitting, specifically for LB tacoma. On standby for a new projected finishing date :rain:

damn I wonder if its that they do not have longer ones or they don't want to do a shorter one. Odd they can do a Dodge and Ford but not a Tacoma LB

Yeah, it would sell quickly in the Vagabond specific threads, but @RangeRick is hoping to jump the line with a trade, so just selling the spot won't accomplish that.

ah yah I see more selling vagabond to jump on here than the other way. But even if he did sell it likely hood of him getting one is not too far away.

Damn, that's no good. Maybe they can spend a bit of time fixing this issue rather than outfitting Fords with new units.

Yeah I didn’t get specifics on what exactly made the door not fit, just that it wouldn’t be completed by Monday and they were looking into it. I’m curious as to what is not fitting/working, but I didn’t press because he seemed super stressed and didn’t have it all figured out yet.

After the wringer I went through with GFC, I have a different perspective as a customer of small operations like this. Plus I’ve had several start ups myself, so I know the start up process and growing pains. I have much more empathy for Spencer and his crew, especially around the holidays. I expressed that I’d rather him find the problem, fix it correctly so it doesn’t happen to other customers, and go from there as opposed to rushing things and not getting them right.

That said, I’m still bummed my Turkey Day trip may be changed up without a camper, but Spencer said he might be able to get it to me that weekend. So only a couple weeks delay. I’m excited to see others get their X-1s on their trucks and tricked out though.

yah its all a bummer and totally understandable. I always feel for small customers. Still gets tiring but I like investing and working with the small shops. If you need something quick there are options for that but that's only partially while we are here. Hopefully they get your setup ready soon. Still have not seen anyone in this thread get one yet. Excited for that because then we will get a better idea and in-depth look of the setup. And LOTS LOTS LOTS more photos that are not a Dodge Rebel.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Just stopped by the shop to get a quick fitting. I'm the first 3rd gen long bed that will be receiving one. Spencer showed me the door issues with the LB, but sounds and looked like it will be fixed relatively quick.
