I’ve decided on putting 5100’s all around, I’ll probably set the fronts at the 3rd or 4th notch. However, I’d like to lift the rear ever so slightly (1 in max) to maintain a little bit of rake. My question is what is the best way to do that without jacking up the angles in the rear, I don’t want any vibes or early wear.

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
Set the front on the 4th setting, add a 1/4 inch spacer for the lean, use your factory coils, add a 1 inch rear tapered block if you can find one or even a 1 1/2 rear block, use a rear carrier bearing drop and a front diff drop to keep the angles close to factory specs. I did this to both my dclb sport and my son's dcsb except he is on the 5th perch for a completely leveled look, however mine has a slight rake but not as pronounced as the factory rake. This is the set up that was done by a very well known 4wd shop in our area. No issues, turn key perfect. The ride is awesome and gets better, the more you drive it.

I did 5100 setup on standard position with OME 887 coils. I put on 33’s (287/75/16) Cooper STT Pros. I believe I got around 2.75”.

    A few.
It looks like at some point you swapped the 1 inch rear lift blocks for 1 1/2 inch blocks?

It was always a 1 1/2 block. I learned this when we did the second truck. I always assumed it was a 1 inch block, really hard to tell once it's installed.

Would I need to do the ECGS bushing or shims? I hear the bushing is something you need to replace when you lift these trucks, I have no clue. Just trying to prevent any and all unnecessary wear.

I had the ECGS clam shell bushing for preventive maintenance.

Will I need new extended U-bolts to accommodate for the blocks? Also, thanks for the help! Now I just have to find the tapered blocks and a good shop in my local area!

Yes, it should come as a kit. In fact a one inch block and setting 4 is preferred for a slight take.

Looking for the front diff drop and can’t find it for some reason. Who manufactures it? Or if you have a link to it that would be very helpful

    Hi
I have owned my 2008 AC for 10 years. It has all of the original suspension components. 150k on the odo. I have no empirical evidence, but it looks like the front is not as high as it once was. If I replaced the shocks with 5100's set at. 85 on the factory springs, would the result/amount of lift be different than if I made the same upgrade to the truck when new? In other words, does the advertised . 85 inches of lift apply to a starting point of a new suspension or from where a truck currently sits?

    Thanks for any input....
