    Like Vermont

I haven't ridden the catskill mountains but I have been up there on foot before. Loved it. There's a lot of New York, it's basically about as big as Rhode Island. Most of the population upstate lives along the canal system in some form or another just because of all the factory towns it supported in the industrial revolution.

I'm not from there, but have visited a few times. Cool place with lotta good beer and food options. MTB scene is strong too. Downside is it's a trendy place to live these days (Portland East basically) and the cost of living compared to the relative area is higher.

Asheville adjacent could be a good place to live though.

Does anyone have recs for some mountain bike specific pants? Looking for something to wear in the cooler months in the PNW. I'm planning to do a bit more "fair weather" winter riding this year. Sucks most places are sold out of everything.

Yeah TLD was my first stop as I've been really happy with the shorts I got this season. I almost bought some pants this spring when everything was in stock and I sure wish I would have now! Being a medium/32 doesn't help either.

At this point I might look for thermal tights to wear under shorts.

Grabbed some parts on sale at the LBS. Been pretty happy with the Slaughter/Butcher combo on what I've been riding locally.

New Bike Day... First full suspension. Wish it wasn't snowy outside, oh well.
Built the bike up and installed RideWrap, didn't even have any beer while doing it. :annoyed:

    Sorry about the shitty pic!

FTR Evil Bikes no longer making 27.5" mountain bikes like most other mid upper companies (Calling and Insurgent(?) I believe), good news is their SO HT on the Following is LESS than the Calling was!

    :angrygirl:

There’s still a 27.5 market but I do see some of the smaller and higher end companies going away from it. The mass makers like trek etc I hope don’t do away with it. Not everyone wants a trail dozer. Maybe it’ll be like phones. They’ll go bigger and bigger and then start going smaller and using the smaller size as a selling point instead of the big wheels :D

All the shit I have been through to find a bike, that made me laugh.....I thought Specialized was shitting me at first but one after another, no 27.5.

The new Following will be Feb 2021, the low frame 29" is awesome though and I will pick up from the HQ in Bellingham
