@BSK what's the fuel pump recall you mention?

 

My parts were ordered today for the recall, While I was in for the 20k service and state inspection.

Nah. the inside was dry as hell when I got home. never had water come in through the bottom, always thru the top somewhere and leak down. Granted it’s a soft top and you’d think it would leak all the time, some hard tops leak as well. The down side of owning a convertible vehicle.

I did a little more digging and found a factory pdf covering some possible leak areas. One being the rear plastic fenders. There is a uncovered hole in the body behind them. And the pdf says, water can enter there and settle in the rear floor. Which is what I have at the moment. This only happens in a heavy down pour. A light rain, some times the front passenger floor.

I will say this. Carpet removal is quick and easy. Dries fairly quick too. Just pull the plugs in the floor and let drain. Wipe down, reinstall.

Either way, I’ve had my fun in it. Might be time to let her go and then use them funds on the truck.

Edit: I have been browsing lifts for the truck the last few weeks. Just a matter of time.

 

Shit even when they don't leak, they'll still piss down your leg because the drip rail drains right onto your knee when you open the door.

Highly recommend Metalcloak if you're lift shopping... They've taken a few thousand from me lately between the belly pan, 3.5" lift, and a few odds and ends but their stuff is top notch. The articulation of their control arm joints is insane and they ride so nice.

 

Yeah, I’m Familiar with MC. Was talking about a lift for the taco.

As for the faucet of a rain gutter. Haha. Thats always fun.

Anyone interested in some BFG KO2 in 295/75/16 with ~5/32 tread before I put them up on the forum?

 

My gopro got unplugged and wasnt recording for the entire day....

I had ordered the hilift mount you had but the taco is back at the doctors office gettings its guts replaced since Thursday...

Would love to go with a roofrack again but am afraid that thing is going to leak like the last one that I had installed when first getting the taco.

 

What did they qoute you for time of the job, and did they offer a replacement vehicle for the time being?
