Front grille keep black or paint white.

I am looking for some input on what to do with the front of my truck. I am looking to get a grille craft insert so I am wondering if I should colour match the grille surround, leave it as is, colour match the bottom lip again or leave as is. Your input would be appreciated.

 

looks good man. there is a guy in abq who is a buddy of mine. tacotron. check out his grill. it looks sick. it is all white with the black emblem. i think it would be sick if you painted the inside white and left the surrounding black IMO. good luck

 

White is hard to color match, keep that in mind. It'd look great if you can find a place to paint the surround.

 

Thanks guys, there is a place here that can colour match and put it in a spray can. Think I should do it my self or get it professionaly done for much more?

maybe some one can photoshop the middle part white so we could get an idea.

OP u should do that and leave the surround black, and do the black emblem, that will probly look clean with ur white and black set up

Ye old one liner, but I do agree... that looks really trick.

 

Keep in mind, it's tough to paint white over black. White is a low-hiding colour, and when sprayed over black, it will definitely come out darker than anticipated. If you take it to a shop to spray it, make sure you ask them to use a white primer/sealer on it before they spray it. This way your colour will look as good as possible.

Yeah thats a good idea with the white and the black grille surround. Making me think. But I was planing on a grille craft insert but not sure now.

With the white center and the black grille surround there would be more touch ups to do from rock chips which concerns me a bit. But I like the idea.
