yup welcome to UHF. Major differences just 5 feet apart. I don’t know a lot about HAM yet but I DO know that much.

I get good enough signal at my desk at work without the industrial case I linked a few pages back. With that on, it comes and goes.

Yeah, with the same carrier, same service, same location, I have to believe it's something with the phone. I've seen a few people complain, so hopefully a patch will update it. I really like the phone otherwise. My case kills wireless charging, but I always use the cable in my truck anyways as I like the better music access with the USB connection rather than BT. The music side of things is the main reason I stay with Apple.

That's the big reason I don't really care what phone I have, since I don't do digital streaming. My one concession is a USB that has some of my rare stuff and common road trip type of discs

I get 100+ mbps out of AT&T 4G LTE at my mom's. She's in a town of 800 so I think the cell tower there just doesn't have much of a burden on it. I only get about 10 mbps out of LTE at home, though.

I get no service at all at work. 4 bars outside, but the cinderblock and brick makes it useless inside. We have a microcell that works well, but I think AT&T is doing away with 3G-based service in the future so that will make it useless.

What boggles me is 3+ years of fully acceptable LTE service on my old phone, new phone has zero LTE signal. It has to be a flaw with the device, but I'm hopping a new software patch at some point in time will solve that.

I really expected when I googled this there would be articles about how long they'll continue to support 3G etc. Didn't expect that quickly. :bananadead: I guess other than in the mountains, I've never had a problem with signal in normal circumstances. I just like having the choice of old, cheap phones that do a great job instead of needing the brand new $1k iphone that does the same exact thing as my currently-could-get-for $100 iphone.

I find I don't care about the specs of the $1k+ phones. All I do is web browsing, take pictures, and use Spotify/Android Auto. I'll pay a little more to not have carrier and manufacturer bloatware that I can't get rid of and have the stock Android experience, but I don't need the world's best processor or anything.

If it weren't for wireless charging and the wide angle camera that I've gotten used to, I would have spent $350 on the 4a and been happy.

Kinda like how all the phones were on Edge or whatever verizon's equivalent is. Now, if I don't have 4G LTE, my phone says "you want me to do what now?" and refuses to download or open websites. In my opinion, I should still be able to access the internet, albeit slow as fuck

Iphone 11 running 3g at the house all day long.

I rarely leave and most places I travel I have no service or 3g for about 70% of my ride

In good news, I just heard back from the dealer in regards to the frame LSC. They're going to not spray it, install the caps and still give me the 12 year warranty per their information from Toyota.

Hopefully everyone else here gets a similar boost of good news today.

Unfortunately no news for me today. I talked to the dealership but they haven't heard back from Toyota yet.

For what it's worth, it was two weeks to the day for the dealer to get back to me.

Me too, if I remember correctly. Or possibly 16 days, because I dropped it off on a Friday afternoon and Toyota called me two weeks later on a Monday.

That's good for me to hear guy's. The dealership had told me I should hear the beginning of this week. I was getting worried.

The average dealership consistently overpromises and underdelivers, though. It's instinctive to them, I think.
