No first hand experience with them. A friend of mine who lives in the same area has KO2s on his FJ and says they do well in looser snow but are similarly bad on hard pack. No surprises there, really.

With a few more snow days under my belt, my conclusion with these is that they're fine at slow speeds on snow but stopping distances and cornering aren't anything to write home about. Great on a cold pavement, as well as slushy stuff.

They are mercifully predictable on snow though, if you're easy on the gas or just glide around corners they do okay. On the gas in 2WD I can get the tail out pretty easily, I wouldn't run them all year round.

Yeah its no big deal, I have had zero issues with KO2s in the rain, its kinda like an urban myth. Unless you like to do 30 over the speed limit.

Got my 265/70/17 wildpeaks installed. Thanks to @Discount Tire for setting everything up and getting me a good deal. Very happy with my purchase.

For the price you pay, the BFG's are an utter joke compared to most any other all-terrain in the category. I've had them on personal and fleet vehicles and routinely see less than 30k miles (as low as 15k) and mediocre at best traction, especially off-road. If the Wildpeaks were on our tire contract at work, I would run them exclusively. I had over 40k miles with the Wildpeaks on my work truck that saw near daily speeds near 100 and high torque off-roading. Even down to about 30% tread, they held up well during an unusually heavy snow for the desert.
It is not a myth. I had the BFG's on my personal truck and during a business trip I got caught in a heavy rain storm with moderate fog. A stop light turned red right in front of me and I was sure I was going to go sliding through the intersection. The ABS was screaming and the tires just didn't grip. I probably stopped a good two feet over the limit line. The following week, making the exact same business trip again but this time in my work truck with Wildpeaks, I got caught in another heavy rain storm. Once again, a stop light turned red in front of me with little time to react due to the fog, but this time the truck calmly came to a complete stop with plenty of room to spare.

Where I live Duratracs, Nittos, Toyo, all cost more . The ST Maxx is cheaper.
I think they are one of the best all round tires and over the last 7 years had no issues.
Tough, good mpg, and look way better than most tires.
You were hot for the ST Maxx when you were buying for your company and then didn’t like them on your full size.
I see zero reason to change tires, BF is one of the best out there.

    Just some stuff...
I've had BFGs on two different trucks, my first gen and now my second gen. They were on the second when I bought it. Off road they're "okay" and they've been fine for normal everyday driving, but when it starts to get wet out they have always seemed to lose traction when it really counts. That's why I was hoping the falcons were better. I have no complaints on the amount of miles I've got out of them, usually close to 40K with regular rotations, but still, I can't really justify paying the prices they're charging anymore. I had a set of Mickey Thompson ATZ P3s that were a hybrid type of tire that did really well in the wet, but always had to get them road force balanced and rotated every 1500 miles or they would wear uneven. That being said, my truck is a daily driver, mostly highway miles now with the occasional trip up to Oregon (damn I love it there!) for some camping and fishing. You're gonna run into all four seasons up there.

Very please with my Discount Tire experience. Great service at a great price. Went with 265/70/17 on stock rims/suspension and it really toughens up the look.

    Let it snow!

With more time on more vehicles with the ST Maxx, I really think it was just my work truck that was causing the issues and not the tires. Three of the other trucks I've put them on have not had any of the issues I noticed. This makes me think it's the terrible suspension design of the F250 that is my main problem.

Discount Tire in Oregon City did a fine job replacing my Duratrac 265/65/17's with 255/80/17's. I'm running them at 36psi now and it rides harder than the duracraps, the extra 2" didn't seem to effect performance. I was concerned that I may experience tire vibration with new tires but it's glass smooth up to the speed limiter. Now for a alignment.

Just got some Ray 10s with a -10 offset. I’m growing impatient and want to get these mounted with some 275/70/17s without a lift yet. Does anyone have a similar setup on stock suspension? I’m sure there’s rubbing, but will trimming be the most of it? Thanks guys!

New Wild Peaks in 265/75/16 going on in a week! Every place was a week out for installation. The DT near me couldn't help me unfortunately for over a week. Cannot wait for these with all the weather coming through the Sierras.

Day one on a set of 275/70R17s C rated, with a new suspension lift. It was 50ish degrees and wet all day, never lost grip. Ride on the highway was quiet and they look awesome.
