Exactly what mine kept doing over and over again. And in the end my phone lost battery percentage.

 

Yeah definitely could be my phone.

 

Random observation from the fringe.

I don't have the Taco Charger just yet. I started getting interested in Qi charging with a new car purchase about two months ago that had a Qi charger built in. I use an older iPhone 6s that has an external case to provide Qi charging. I bought a Cheeotech desktop charger a couple months ago and have it beside my recliner/life support/command chair/fortress of solitude. One thing I've noticed since it is now within peripheral vision range is that it will occasionally cycle the screen like I see when I initially place it in the cradle. It's not predictable but seems to happen after it's been on the cradle for a bit. Once it gets to full charge I haven't seen this happen. I've also seen the "resets" in the car cradle and just wrote it off to the phone wiggling around on the charger. I'm thinking there might be something that is in the iPhone software that may be adjusting/interrupting the charge cycle for it's own reasons. I'm still seeing it get charged up so it hasn't been too much of a problem.

 

I've had mine installed for a week now. Charges every time. Phone doesn't need to be directly centre. I just need to get some of that u channel edge trim or add weights to the underside of the bezel so it sits flush when no phone is on it.

Probably still waiting for the chargers. Chinese suppliers are so unreliable under the pandemic.

 

No updates just yet, I'm still waiting on the chargers to come in... They come from Germany and supposedly had them all there. Same thing that happened last time, this company is pretty frustrating to deal with.

 

No worries. Just anxious to get one.

 

I just recently put in a kenwood dnr-1007xr floating head unit with wireless CarPlay in my 6 speed manual truck. I need this wireless charger to complete the wireless setup I’m going for.

Thanks again @ThreatLevelMidnight for including us. I received mine awhile back but haven't installed yet due to life. Looks just like I expected, nice quality. Hopefully the wireless charger supply chain starts to work faster to get on our time line better.

I just wanted to comment that my wireless charger works perfectly.

 

Mine also works well. I've seen only one anomaly - Indicator light was blinking before placing the phone on the pad, and phone would not charge when placed on the pad. "Fix action" was disconnecting and reconnecting power. Worth noting, however, mine is connected to dash power point that's configured with @ramonortiz55's Always on Power Outlet Relay mod, so it's always powered on. (Guessing it "prefers" being powered off between uses.)

 

I'm looking at that same Head Unit when my 2021 Tacoma Pro arrives. On a side note, get that windshield fixed.

Finally got to installing mine. Manual with customized to include the LED. Charger works fine

Ya, it wasnt that easy and some trimming had to be done on both the piece and on the truck side. But happy with the result
