If any of you guys like art or weird interesting stuff, our state has a hidden gem. Well, hidden for us, but famous in the art world. If you’re in Fairhope, stop by Nalls studio or his new museum at Troy.

There’s a lot down here that’s true. I’ve spent a lot of time down here. Some great art walks. I’ve had to set up for quite a few here haha. I worked for Nall in France/Monaco for a few months and stateside for about a year setting up for shows, helping manage the RSA buildings art and all that stuff. Great times, wish I got to come down here more often.

Damn that's rad. I'm friends with alot of the art community here in Mobile cause I too paint and use to do shows back in the day. I'm very limited on what I do these days. Lots people don't really know that I was big into it back then. I was in a few Juxtapoz magazines, local spot light in mags and have had stuff in some really big shows in Cali, NY, NOLA. I just lurk in the shadows now

That’s awesome, man. What did you paint? Those are probably the best places for art in the states. Hard to make it big in Alabama as an artist. Totally different regard for art and artists in France vs Alabama of course. We were stopped all the time by people wanting photographs and shit there. Not much emphasis placed on art here in Alabama.

I attended one of the shows I was in, in San Diego and was blown away by the art vibe there. My father was a great sea scape oil painter. I guess I got the gift as well, lol but I really just consider myself more of a above average doodler, haha. I grew up into skateboarding and punk music and so pretty much my art gravitated towards I guess what would be considered multimedia popish I guess. I paint people is the easy some up of what I mostly do. Im also friends with alot of great tattoo artist and learned alot from them and paint and draw in that style as well. No sea scapes for me, haha. I rarely pick up a brush nowadays.

That’s awesome! I rarely paint these days, too. I think I liked the business side of it more, honestly. I had a blast riding someone else’s coattails though haha I was fortunate to be able to survive on my artwork while I did, but ultimately fell out of love with it. All my art was Nall rip offs anyway haha post some pictures of your work!

Those are awesome. Yeah for me it never sparked enough interest to try and pursue it as a full time artist. My buddy lives that life and they are always traveling to shows and festivals throughout the country. I can't even imagine what the rona has done to the people who make there living off their art doing this has done to them. I'll have to post up when I get home and dig through the trash pile as I call it
