So, I got the new Eibach Pro Stage 1 Suspension put on my brand new 2021 OR 4wd this week, and headed to the mountains. I also added a progressive AAL from Wheeler's Offroad, and a 1/4 inch spacer to correct for driver's side lean (I also did the diff drop and sway bar relocate). Simply put: I LOVE this suspension. It rides better than stock on the road and was extremely capable today off-road as well. Also, the 2 inch lift in front and 1.5 inch in back gives me a 1/2 inch rake (which is exactly what I was going for - Pre-lift I was at 35 1/2 in front and 36 1/2 in back on both sides, now I am at 37 3/4 in front and 38 1/4 in back on both sides). I was definitely worried that it would end up riding too rough (since I am just a weekend warrior hitting trails to do trout fishing and a bit of overlanding, etc.). But, since I live in the mountains, I wanted the capability and improved clearance. It ended up better than I could have imagined. I went back and forth between the Eibach and the Bilstein 5100s, but I am glad I made the decision that I did. I am running 265/75/r16 KO2s (I thought about getting 33's, but went with these instead in order to help with gas mileage - I am currently getting about 20-21mpg - and also I didn't want any rubbing off road, and since the tires are tucked, it also keeps most of the rocks under the truck rather than chipping the paint off of the side of it!). Anyway, I am thrilled with it all and would highly recommend this set up to anyone wanting improved capability, ride quality, and also a badass look to their truck! Pics below.

Thanks, gemiv19! It is my 5th Tacoma and by far my favorite! It really handled the trails well today!

It was more than I was willing to tackle since I was too scared to mess something up on a three week old truck, ha! I ordered the suspension kit from Wheeler's Offroad and had them assemble everything, so it was just bolt on - but I still decided to have the guys at Toyota (where I bought the truck) do the install for me. They said it took about 7 hours to do everything (including an alignment). That said, if the truck were older, cheaper, or I knew what I was doing, I might have given it a shot, but in this case, I just opted to make sure nothing messed up the new warranty, etc.

Yeah, stock UCAs - the folks at Toyota told me that it aligned easily and near perfectly. From everything I have read, and what the guys at Toyota said, less than a 2.5 inch lift usually doesn't need new UCAs.

Thanks, CaptainBart45. Yeah, Covid might shut down all sorts of things, but not the trails! My son is going out with me tomorrow to explore some more!

I have been looking at this kit, too, along with the Bilsteins. Glad you like it!

MarcM, I went back and forth a bunch, but settled on this kit because I just saw too many mixed reviews of the Bilstein ride quality - though a lot of that might be due to the OME 887s that I was going to pair with it. The Eibach springs are amazing and so for the price, I just couldn't resist giving the kit a try. I am really glad I did. I am sure that the Bilsteins are amazing as well, but I really wanted to make sure I didn't sacrifice too much on road for the capability off-road, and so far the Eibach is not only great off road, but it is a drastically improved ride on road as well. (I should note that I was never looking at Icons, Kings, or Fox, etc. my needs and uses just don't justify that kind of investment).

mtnfishing, I have heard the same thing about some people not being happy with their OME springs. I have not considered any of the super high end suspensions, either, as they would just be overkill for what I like to do. Unless something else comes along before I pull the trigger, I am leaning heavily towards Eibach. Thanks for your initial report. I hope you continue to share your thoughts on that suspension!

I’m looking into getting this exact setup on my 2021 OR, did you have it assembled on 1st or 2nd perch? Do you have any side pics? I just wanted to see the rake. Looks great!

I ordered it from Wheelers Offroad preassembled at the first perch (which gives 2 inch lift from the springs in the front and so helps the ride since there is no preload as I understand it). Here is a pic from the side - I have 1/2 inch rake from back to front (which is exactly what I was going for - when I load it down with my camping equipment and such, it is exactly level).

Interestingly enough, the Toyota mechanic who helped on the install told me that he is running 5100s and after driving mine after the install, he wishes he had gone with the Eibach. I am sure both are great, but the ride quality on the Eibach just seems to be better than the 5100s with OME 887s.

Very true! I really think it is the springs that are making the difference in this case.
