Let's have ourselves a good 'ole pissing match. I whole heartedly believe that the Access Cab is the superior looking truck. ACLB owners back me up, DCSB owners prove me wrong.

don't get too salty or offended by this thread, It's just to poke some fun at each others cab choice. Also maybe it will change some folks minds about what they think of their rival cab style.

I'll start off by saying that although the double cab is nice to carry more people, I think it looks like a guy who's just as fat as he is tall. That and the fact that in the last 4 years before owning a taco I have had a total of 3 people in my car at one time. And that happened maybe 3 times. Maybe it's because I have a dog and not kids there isn't a need for that second row of seats. I don't have the need for a double cab and I don't drool over them like I do with the access cabs. For some reason I am much more attracted to the body lines and style of the AC, maybe it's the longer bed, or the suicide doors but there's something about it that make it look more like a truck than that double cab.

Access cabs are just for dudes that can’t afford four real doors.

So I drive an access cab :anonymous:

The proportions of the long bed access cab are just right in my biased opinion. Double cab short bed looks goofy, and yes I realize that the majority of production are that configuration.

What about the best of both worlds? DCLB.

I need the long bed because I need to get more then a couple potted plants in the back. If they offered a 7 foot bed, I’d be all over it.

I considered the Access Cab. Came close. But Boone wanted the DC.

Thought about that too. Nice trucks but just thought it was a little too much truck for what I needed. This my 4th Tacoma (first one was before the stated numbering the GENs) so I guess I may have been a little bios on that front.

I wanted a double cab but settled for this because of the low miles. Sorry I know I’m not helping your argument lol.

My preference would be an access cab short box, that shorter length would really be helpful at times off road. Don't really need the long box, so because there was no other benefit, decided to go DCSB.

It's called resale value i bought mine because of all the shit i carry & double cabs are what 98% of the buyers want so.......give the used truck market what they want they sell in 13.6 minutes after mumbling that you want to sell the others take at least an hour to dump the regulars usually a couple days to sell
Try those numbers on your Ford's, Rams, silverados & god forgive those attempting to unload a Nissan......good luck.

I drive the AC more because it's my work truck. When I bought my DC almost two years ago, I would have preferred an AC then, but needed a full size back seat for family.

Matter of practicality for me. The short bed wouldn't cut it for me & the DCLB would be a PITA as far as necessitating relocating stuff in the garage. I'd sooner get the Tundra that I really wanted.

Of course, to my unbiased eye the AC looks sharper than any vehicle on the road.

Double-cab, the evolution of the soccer-mom van. The vestigial bed is enough room for a bag of potting soil.

My next taco will be a DCLB, I may regret it down the road but I can’t give up the long bed.

I never have anyone in the back seat and I wanted a long bed to setup for more room when camping. My first AC and love it!A68A52C1-A643-4011-B1C2-87F57B5F9CB7.jpg
