Are you going with the solid rear hatch? I imagine someone will break a window before they cut a padlock

Oh for sure. I just wasn't sure if that was something that was designed in.

Here’s a side picture of the windoor. I can dig up some with the top down too if you want to see them.

Can someone post photos of a few of the options from Vagabond? In particular I am interested in seeing what the "lower level lighting" and "interior ceiling light" look like. I don't see photos on the website. I also want to know what the "12v power port and Double USB" looks like and if it's worth $250. Seems like something I could easily add myself but maybe there's more to it than I realize. Thanks!

Or just break the plastic trim piece under the rear window and opening the tailgate…

You're lucky, I just was looking back through this thread a few days ago and bookmarked this post:

Taking a poll. If you were only able to choose 3 add-ons to your Drifter/Nomad which three would they be, and why? Thanks.

    I want it all!
But for the 3, I’ll take a door, fan and Frontrunner hatches (both sides). I would like to take a look at the new windows Phil is testing. Like the idea of built in screen and window shade.

Tell us more about these windows. And are there any pics?

    Insulation, fan, upper light.

We wanted a four-season camper and the insulation has been awesome. I can’t wait for Phil to get the upper insulation package done. We didn’t get windows, and it was the right decision for us. We don’t regret that decision.

The fan has been amazing in the summer. I ran it full time during the day and night in Moab this summer when temps were getting above 100 each day. It keeps the interior tolerable. if you are handy with RV skills, you could install it yourself, but VO can route the cable under the roof insulation for a clean look.

The upper light would be also be difficult to install and keep the wiring clean. It made sense for VO to route the wiring under the insulation. It would be easier to do DIY lights in on the lower sides of the camper because of the c-channel wiring options the they designed into the unit. This is one of the genius ideas from Phil and Iggy. Wiring projects can be clean because they provided a place to run them.

    Fan, insulation, and powdercoat.

I don't regret not having windows. Less cold air coming in. Only other thing I would add is the upper lighting since you can't cleanly hid the wires (as @MapJunkie pointed out).

Here's what I found in the thread until my memory was jogged and I remembered they are the Arctic Tern windows.
    https://www.ternoverland.com/arctic-tern-window

A separate interior cover panel contains the retractable fine mesh insect screen on the top, and a blackout blind with reflective exterior on the bottom. These can be used separately or together for infinite combinations of privacy and air. The blind also creates a second dead air space for maximum thermal efficiency in very cold conditions.

Insulation, Solar pre-wire, and roof powder coat. My bed buildout would make windows useless and I plan on pooping and showering in my Nomad so waist down privacy is a must. Also, if you opt for windows, the insulation is kind of a waste IMHO. In AZ, a white roof is a must.

Interesting. I would have guessed the aluminum surface itself was more heat reflective than white powder coat. Maybe I'm not understanding solar heat dynamics.

It seems to make a difference, I could be wrong but in my mind it helps...

Actually, now that I remember my physics class, white paint is less dense than aluminum, so the molecules are further apart. And it's white, which is more reflective that darker silver. So those photons have less molecules to hit and will bounce off better. I guess.
