Changed my spark plugs today. Could have probably done it 10k miles ago but better late than never!

 

my buddy had a 1980s suburban 4x4 for his winter truck when in high school. We used to drive it into ditches on purpose to see if we could get stuck. Never happened. That thing was a damn beast.

 

Today I put my new to me tires on.
Lol.

I needed to do a little "roadside" chopping.

And now I'm 4 1/2 hours behind schedule for tomorrow mornings boat sale. I have to finish this trailer up tonight.

Interesting fun fact, my friend Paul that painted this trailer for me also restored the original all steel Batmobile in the late 1980's.

 

That looks like it’s dry rotted. How old are those tires?

 

Installed the battery isolator and plug (well, still need to screw the plug down to the cover). I ran a 10awg to the bed last year for bed lights, a 12v plug, and a usb plug. When I did that I installed a breaker under the hood and a fuse block in the bed cubby behind the plugs and switches so it was easy to add the isolator. It is also hidden in the bed cubby.

 

Slapped a new bumper on a friend's Colorado and got some trail in before it got too cold out.

 

Upgraded the battery to an Odyssey Group 31-M Extreme Duty with the @CBI Offroad Fab battery mount.

 

I want that battery mount!

 

It’s a tight fit but worked out ok.

 

Set up a phone ram mount today

 

Had to have her towed! . She wouldn’t start and I have no idea why.

 

Bought a set of new headlights from Headlight depot. Managed to do the BHLM and HID retrofit on one. Took me two hours. One more to go!

ended up going with Morimoto Mini D2S projectors with 4300k Phillips bulbs.

I went with the Osrams for a while but the turnover rate on those bulbs is a little more than I’d like.

Added a driver side Relentless Fab antenna mount for HAM radio.

 

Very old. It was a set someone else put together. The oldest tire was from 2003 I think. All 4 cost me $300 and I got 10 months of use out of them. They were as hard as a rock lmao. I bought them in the rain and was in a rush and I didn't look them over at all.

The Goodyear MTR's I got were made in 2019 and have 6,000 miles on them. I paid $450 for 5 of them and the spare had never been used. A friend of mine gave me a killer deal on those Goodyears. They're rubbing all over the place.
