Be safe up there. Rinks still closed but there's surf. I might swallow my pride and start roller blasting out playing

I would get some conical seat lug nuts to use with the stealies. The stock lugs are good enough for a temporary spare but for all winter on all fours I’d get some acorns.

Studs. Steel rims for winter > *

Cool setup to the OP. I went for studs because I'm cheap and it works for me. Blizzak is probably a nicer choice for highway miles.

I finally went to 3 sets of tires this year. Still have the factory rubber but will replace with ugly, hard ass Michelins for Max highway mpg for good weather driving. Duratracs for hunting season. And now, proper snow tires for winter highway. I’ll be putting them on shortly.

Had a couple chances to test them out. They're like having a cheat code for winter driving.6FA387BB-F273-416E-B8D9-4A1B3E6A93C8.jpg

I though Canadians used Snow Tires all year long.

Just noticed, you do need to change your lug nuts. Winter will destroy them.

Ya I got a set with the rims but they ended up being the wrong size. Going to swap them this week.

My main gripe with the studs is the noise.

I see them as an option, but certainly not the Holy Grail. Still a good choice within a budget range. My way of sealing with freezing temps and snow and ice issues was to move to more southern climes. It was 83 degrees F today, and I was out in the yard in my shorts and T shirt doing yard work. Love'n it!
