    Just got a lift on my truck today. 5100's front and back and an Icon AAL. Got home and was looking at the springs and they don't look right. What is wrong? Is the AAL ON TOP? I have 0 knowledge in this area.

    Yeah, looks like it’s mounted at the top of the pack and it’s facing downward, so doubly incorrect.

    That’s one way to take the arch out of both the leaf pack and the AAL . How much lift did you get? Did the upside down AAL cancel itself out?!

    In addition to the AAL being in the wrong place and wrong orientation, the top shackle bolt has been installed backwards. It may dig into the frame bracket when the suspenion flexes:

    20201114_195738s.jpg

    Correct orientation: https://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b359/TokyoTitan/IMG_1439.jpg

    The bolt on your driver's side is pointed outward in the correct direction.

    WTF!? :confused::rofl:

    *HOW* did a *SHOP* screw something so simple up so badly!? :eek:

    :bananadead:

    I would demand a refund, possibly money to replace the over stressed AAL's and then take it to another shop if I were you.

    Me personally I'd just do it myself, it's really a dead simple job, anybody with a couple of wrenches, some C clamps and two braincells to clink together can do it.

    ...

    Obviously the shop tech only had one rolling around the thunder dome.

    I would also question the main leaf pack if the AAL was installed flipped wrong- seems like tightening down the U bolts would force all of the leafs against their arch.

    One way they can make it worse is pointing the AAL's rebound clip bolt inward, so it digs into the fuel tank strap...

    Oh yeah no doubt, but still, the principal of the matter, might as well capitalize on their screw up.
