That must be how you lower a truck. Maybe he had the instructions upside down?

I would be concerned how they installed the fronts as well, geez, I can't imagine just how inept they could be, it is mind boggling. I also would do the install myself, it's the only way to know that it was done right.

How can they mess up this much?
It isn't even that hard of an install.

The AAL have an obvious Arch that follows the rest of the leaf springs, why would they think flipping it and putting it on top would be the right way to install it....

    Those AALs toast,
Your leaf springs might have lost a lot of their Arch too.

Wonder how the shop is going to compensate for this.

I'm curious how that drove. That rear must have dampen like a shopping cart on black-top

email icon and get it in writing that those leafs are now defective and can't be reused then get the shop to pay you the cost of the leafs and refund the install costs then have it towed to a different shop to do the work

Here’s the kicker..it was more work to put them on wrong than it was to do it right.

Not sure how mounting the aals incorrectly would render them "defective". They're just peices of metal

Also, no shop is going to pay for a tow to a different shop. Just take it back and make them set it up correctly. Yes its embarrassing but its not the end of the world

Is it just me or is that entire leaf pack installed upside down?

Biggest question...is it safe to drive?? Last thing I need is more damage and expense!

The leaf pack will be super-stiff. Should be OK if you take it slow and avoid speed bumps and potholes. How did it feel driving home?

Well, these pieces of metal are springs.
Springs are bent/arched one way for that elastic potential energy.

Bending it in the opposite direction, esp. against the 3 large OEM springs, will render them just that, "Just pieces of metal" and not a spring.

Sweet baby Jesus, I'm about to install leafs for the first time on my truck. Glad I've got this handy how-not-to guide now. Sorry for your loss OP, I'd be pretty pissed if it were me and I'd definitely have them get you a new leaf.

Update...took to reputable shop and yes...leaf springs were upside-down and in wrong order...plus alot of other bad stuff. Trendsetter Customs in Granbury Tx went above and beyond to make it right! They call the previous shop and shamed them into paying for the job and they went through everything to make sure it was ALL perfect!! Now she is as she should be20201116_171432.jpg

Let's see a pic of the new AAL install. Otherwise I won't be able to sleep tonight.
