On the bright side Goats do a fine job.

 

The reason for the tear down was the deck was majorly rusting out. While swapping the hardware and components to the new deck, the spindle attachment bolts were shearing off & beyond reasonable effort to repair. Sadly the bearings had quite a bit of life left in them, but looks like I’m replacing the whole spindle and housing.
The good thing is that the mowing season is mostly done, so no goats needed!
