I know the rifle is not pointing at her but just looks like its pointing at her head. I had to take a double look.

Beautiful deer and picture! Not quite moving around our cabin yet but hoping the cold front that moved in today will change that. My Son and I headed out on Monday. Moved my one doghouse and putting him in it. Guessing you guys are missing Church this am and cutting up meat?

Yal talking about scent control. ive tried it all. but now keep my stuff in tubs, wash it if i sweated and try to use the wind. in the mtns. here it will hit all 4 directions in a morning. hunt high in the morning as thermals rise at sunup out of the hollows. low if you want in the evening as they go down. the boys swear by this thing they all have. its a duffle bag with an ozone pump on it. clothes in and plug it in to descent their clothes.sit on the ground a time or two for me and all the outer wears have an earth scent then tub it. left all in the truck last nite. it smells like sweet dirt.

I use scentless detergent. I think it’s called all.

Hunting out west you get way to sweaty and there’s nothing you can do to make yourself scent free, assuming they work anyways. I’m not up in a tree or in a blind. Watching wind direction and trying to avoid swirls is the name of the game during archery. During rifle, it’s a non issue all together.

Trail cam pic from last year, but this year I just cannot get motivated to go. I’ve got something in my lungs right now, wish I could just cough and get it out. Day 5 of antibiotics, negative COVID-19 test from last Monday. I’ve come back from my parents house (where I hunt) the last few times with high anxiety and stress.
    Damn you 2020!

But with a deer like that, I should be up on the mountain! I’ve never missed a hunting season in the last 32 years, but this year may be the first. If I miss it though, they’ll just be bigger next year. Maybe I’ll feel better by next week...
