TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

So I just need a quick disconnect for the sc to swap from the taco to the 4Runner for towing. Anyone know of such a product? I’m a trailer queen now.

Thanks we just got those a few weeks ago and love em too. Trailer queen because I’ll be towing to and from the desert, dunes, trails and what not vs driving the truck to and from. Means less worries about breaking something and trying to get home so bigger sends

the supercharger for the taco wont work on the 1gr in the 5th gen 4runner

 

He's got a point you know Ryan @snowsk8air2 ... The 5th gen HoRunners use a TVS blower vs our roots blowers as the 2nd gen 4.0's have a different lower intake plenum than the 1st gen 4.0's.

Yeah I know. It’d be nice though. But the taco would never see the blower again because my wife wouldn’t give it back lol. She wants one bad and will get one some day. Luckily we have access to my parents diesel for a few years til we can get our own so we’ll be using that as the tow pig and not the 4Runner. Heck I damn near lifted the back of it off the ground pulling the truck on and off the trailer

 

RIPP Coilpacks are now available in 2nd gen fitment. Same as the 3rd gen but designed to fit the 2nd gen according to RIPP

Any update on the HPS Hoses that were test fitted? Curious if we ever heard when they may be offered? Getting ready to drain and remove some hoses and was curious if any info was ever passed along after that fact.

Yah that was amusing for me too. I would guess a bunch of the others may be 3rd gen boosted but I expected more boosted bros. Video of that setup in action is pretty sweet. damn jet engine

Just ordered a hurst core shifter. Gonna try something different than the TRD ss. So that being said, my TRD one may be for sale ......
