Not trying to be a jerk but what does the engine manual say? Mine (Toyota to be fair) has the entire lighting BOM, id imagine your owners manual has that in there somewhere.

I haven't seen the manual. I just know the headlamps require H13 bulbs for at least the top portion. My dad says the stock bulbs aren't very bright, so I'm ordering better bulbs.

Did the same, winter weight is in the truck, snow blower is out, camper is covered. I'll put in my wife's snow tires next weekend.
Yes,you'd need to replace 4 bulbs total. The top and bottom bulb are the same, I can't remember if it's H13, but top and bottom are both dual filament bulbs and all 4 stay on for both low and high beams.

Try adjusting them a bit first although, I agree, stock bulbs aren't great. I swapped with a LED kit from Headlight Revolution. Not cheap, but much brighter and I don't get flashed at all, I retained the stock beam pattern for the most part.

Depending on your budget, Morimoto came out with a replacement led housing. They initially had a $1,600 option but the new one mimics the factory led housing and is $800.

I've heard the OEM LED headlamps aren't great. I'm surprised having the Lariat trim, the truck came with halogens and not LED. I figure I'll try the Philips +100% and see how that goes.

    I mean… it’s a Ford, you don’t care
So I’m going to put myself out there a little bit here. Typically I try and keep my work life very separate from my social life. Some of you already know what I do, but not everyone. My job is especially controversial during these times but I’m willing to take the chance here.

Since the first week of September, I’ve been in the police academy. I’ve been a police officer for some time, but am back in the academy for a new certification for a newer position I was lucky enough to get. That being said- my ROC (recruit officer class) is doing some fundraising. COVID protocols make it difficult to do in person fundraising so i figured I’d try and use other avenues. If you’re interested in supporting the class, check out the flyers below and shoot me a text or PM.

Thanks for checking it out and considering.

I haven't heard complaints about the OEM LED headlights but these are Morimoto. The $1,600 version is a quad LED unit, so 8 LEDs going at any given time. The $800 unit is like OEM, 4 LEDs total. The cheaper kit is relatively new but getting good reviews. The LED kit I bought is like $400 and does well for me. The bulbs were tough to change on the 6.2, they're a complete biotch to change on the diesel because of the extra battery and other crap under the hood so I only wanted to do it once. The high performance halogens tend to have a shorter lifespan, I didn't want to deal with that.
Even at Lariat trim level, the LED headlight option is still a couple thousand dollar upgrade, ridiculous.

I am electrician (in Borat voice). Yesterday added a new 240V circuit with 8 gauge wire/ 40A breaker to by box. Wired up a 4000/7500 Watt heater in my garage gym. Did not get electrocuted/ die...so great success. Its for a much larger space than my garage. Tried it out this morning and had the garage up to 75 in about 10 minutes. Has internal thermostat ( i could have wired an external but 8/3 sheathed wiring is like $125 for 50' vs ~$60 for 50' of 8/2...), timer, low/high modes. Now the wife won't complain that the garage is cold when we're working out, and kids can play down there all winter. 20201114_163158.jpg

did you need a permit? I want to run some 120V lines in my shed (already has power back there) to add lights on the sides instead of just the front.

Ok, I'll buy-in. But could you post the funding website to buy in here?

Do it quick, don't electrocute yourself and you should be fine.

    Morning, peoplefaces.
Windy as hell here last night. Got woken up at 3AM by the girlfriend's car tent rolling up against the house. When I set it up I put 1/2" rebar driven 3 feet deep with a sledgehammer at each corner, and it ripped them all out. Dragged one rebar across the passenger A pillar on her Rav4 and scratched the hell out of that, broke that ventvisor, etched a jaggedy line across the driver's side of the windshield, and broke the driver's side mirror assembly. Then for good measure the tent rolled across the yard and into the house (which, fortunately, it didn't damage)

So that was a hell of a way to start the day...

Yikes... We just bought a new camper cover so I was watching that like a hawk to see how it held up with last night's winds. It actually did really well, seems to have enough vents so it doesn't create uplift or make too much of a sail effect.
