GA Traverse camping trip 11/20

Friday after work too

 

I’m trying to decide what chainsaw to bring
Stihl Ms261 with 20” bar
Or Stihl ms461 with 25”

I’m planning on being there Friday by noon

 

Also I’ll be bringing as much firewood as I can fit

 

I would think the 261 would be more than enough.

 

A couple buddies in myself did the big frog loop last year around this time. We came across trees at the very end of the loop. It sucked because we had to backtrack like 12 miles. Anyways those trees were about 3 foot in diameter. And there’s three of the SOBs

 

Well shit, I say bring the big boy I know @baldridge is gonna bring a Husky and I'm still thinking about grabbing a CS400.

 

I only got a 14 inch I think.

 

Sort bed problems

That Echo I'm thinking about comes as 16" or 18". Both are the same price, so I figured get the 18". I searched last night and it doesn't look like they're part of the BF deal, so it doesn't really matter if I wait or not.

 

Well for the amount of times I have cut a tree down which was 1 time this size was all I really needed. If I was using all the time it would be a different story. Other than the firemen and policemen on my block I’m the only one who even has a chainsaw.

 

I'm right there with you. I would spend more time just running the saw every once in a while to keep things moving than actually cutting stuff...………………..I just want one

 

You could do like my neighbor does. When we first moved in I was borrowing his stuff all the time cause I didn’t have anything. Got tired of doing it and started buying what I needed. Now he is borrowing my stuff all the time.
