I'd suggest looking into a roof basket to get some hauling capability back.

    Plus BrOverland points.

Dropping off a load of brush at the burn pile tonight. Short beds are plenty capable.

Do you have a bed extender? I had a 2007 Colorado crew cab with a 5 foot bed and a bed extender was helpful when hauling brush and other longer loads.
I made sure to get one even with my access cab 6 ft bed.

Gotta love the visibility the AC provides as compared to the DC. Can’t imagine trying to live with a short little baby bed in the back of a DC. 29685585-C979-466A-BF51-89E4E1904FD3.jpg

That’s a nice looking DCSB. Glad some on your side came to defend the SBs, this thread won’t be fun otherwise haha

Thought about that. The wife is ready to move on from the tent, so we're actually looking at getting a travel trailer. The short bed works better that a lot of people give it credit for when it comes to hauling. I've hauled quite a few 4x8 pieces of plywood with no issues. From time to time I do rent a uhaul trailer just because it makes it easier to haul certain things.

I agree, for some reason some people think the SB can't do much.

Thanks. I lucked out finding this truck and got a great deal on it after my 09 SPORT DCLB was totaled in April.

Ok I’ll chime in. It’s not an attack on you personally or your children. I understand why family people and soccer moms get double cabs. It’s a necessity. I wasn't fortunate enough to have children. So all my toys and my dogs are my children. The best form of flattery is someone copying your truck..the Ivan look with a double cab just looks terrible. There should be a fine for doing that. The AC is just better looking and no one can argue that with a straight face. If your going to copy the most famous Toyota Access Cab in the world. Do it with the Respect it deserves......................8AF59297-1BD7-4022-9292-C01B21373011.jpg

Because I can half open the door and suicide door to create a completely enclosed private space to pee anytime, anywhere.

Now that’s pushing it a little lol. If they were to do that the whole power plant would need some serious upgrading. Well let’s face it, it already needs serious upgrading. I think the one thing we all can agree on is that these trucks need MO’ POWAH BABEH
