    I had a unichip(very expensive)installed in my tundra it worked great for a couple years and then all of a sudden started to throw all my warning lights. Shortly thereafter it started to interfere with the starting of my truck. After several visits to toyota they decided that the chip may be the cause. I left the chip in for a few more weeks until it shut my engine off while I was driving on the highway. Unable to start the truck I removed the elaborate chip and the truck started and ran fine. Wondering if anyone else has had issues with these chips. I sent it back to unichip and months later they sent it back stating there was a loose wire. Installed it and the same shit happened. No more chip. Came close to using one in my tacoma before this happened.

    you hit that nail on the head TRDkenE. There customer service is a big scam. One thing that I did find out is that all the units are made in south africa. The mapping is done here in USA. I would never use one again.

    shiz94 we have beaten this dog to death man. here is my last reply that I just made to someone on the last page of that post. Read the whole thing and maybe you will see my point. "the spacer is a top plate spacer and it gives 2" of lift, the actual spacer is only about 1.25" thick. Downward travel is exactly the same as factory travel being that nothing has changed other than lowering the whole unit . Factory ride is exactly the same. Why use only spacer designated to do a total of 2" of lift intead of 3 or 4, this is because the vehicle geometry pretty much stays the same especially if you use a 1" diff drop along with a aal in the rear thus resulting in no undue stress on anything. Somewhere down the line someone convinced everyone that these type of spacers compress springs and tear up ball joints-not true if you stick to this size. Perfect way to go if you are going off road every once in a while (not racing or rock climbing) to clear larger tires (31's). "

    and read my reply...
    well now i know you have no idea what your talking about...

    the aarms have a fixed pivot point. the only way to raise the truck using coil spacers is to rotate those arms...and by rotating those arms what are you doing....LOSING downtravel!! stock the truck has about ~3-4" of downtravel, but when you rotate those arms w/ a spacer, you now only have 0-1" downtravel...its simple math dude.

    by doing this, you will NOT have the same factory ride...

    ok, enough time wasted on someone that obviously has no idea what they are talking about...:D
