Yup, and we had to look up directions to places we wanted to go on MapQuest and print or write down the steps

Actual printed maps and Thomas Guides... now that there is some legit boomer material

Growing up the DC area helping my mom by reading the fold out maps kept in the glove box.

Only she didn't buy new ones so I'd accidentally get her lost as shit by counting how many intersections we needed to drive through on the map and then counting the real world streets, only to be turning way to soon because we're driving over roads that weren't on the map

I was always nervous about going by street name and getting yelled at for getting it wrong so I'd do the same counting thing...only do give bad directions and get yelled at anyway :homer:

My father still does that. But he makes my mother do it since he never learned how to print off mapquest. When I delivered that 2013 Tundra 14 hours away last October he was baffled that my phone was giving me directions and it wasn't getting us lost.

I've had a couple small ones that passed on their own but it was uncomfortable AF. I'm talking tiny ones though. People that get ones the size of pellets that get stuck and require an ER visit... That's the stuff of nightmares.

Mine both happened during a year I was living in my own and drinking a lot of soda water vodka drinks at night up until I went to bed. If you regularly have to get up at night to piss like a racehorse you're on your way to kidney stones. That and drinking a lot of everything but water will cause them

    I have mods
Thomas guides were the shit. I loved getting new ones every year. I had one for LA and San Diego back in the day.

I got one for Christmas when I was 16. Honestly I was happy to get it. Also every time I went to AAA to do something I grabbed a bunch of gold out maps.

... I was just being me, alone on the couch thinking

And I realized I don't recall seeing a cat or dog, even so much as an iguana anywhere through the series
