Hey guys, the title sums up what I am asking - I want to lower the back of my truck to level it relative to the front. I have a 2006 4x4.

I am fully aware of how controversial this is on a site like this, but this is what I want to do to MY truck.

I do not want to remove any of my leafs, I was hoping more for a 1"-1.5" block that I could put in between my axle and the leaf pack. Do any of you guys have experience with this or maybe a specific part that you used that worked? I have done a bit of perusing the interweb in search of it, but I thought this would be a cool discussion to start.

    Thanks in advance!

putting a block in between the axel and leaf will give you lift, not make it lower....

Take a couple sacks of quickrete and mist a garden hose over the bags without opening. Let them harden up overnight. Then strap those bad boys between the fender wells.

Look at the truck. It clearly doesn't.

This is probably the easiest way if you ask me. Back in the day I dropped my old Silverado's rear end using longer shackles.

Ah. I was under the impression that I had a SUA. My bad.

To the comments saying to just prematurely wear put or damage my leafs, kindly ask yourself why that was necessary.

So yeah, a longer shackle would do the trick. Anyone have a suggestion on which one? Also- would putting a longer shackle effect the spring rate of the rear noticeably?

Longer shackle is gonna be the best route to go.

For all intents and purposes, the drop a shakle will produce is half the extra length in this case. So if you wanted a 1in drop look for a 2in longer shackle (cus the axle is halfway between the front and rear of the leaf.

I will say, probably not the best route to go as your uptravel will suffer which means you will be hitting bumpstops WAY more.
