Around 5 years. Same as when I ran a AGM in my 1st gen. Back then AGM weren’t $200+ either. I just don’t see spending the extra when they both lasted around the same time. Granted maybe the Northstar $300+ ones may last longer but even if I buy 2 Duralast I’m still not spending that much money.

 

If you get the factory battery group, it will charge. If you go larger, then you will need mods to fully charge no went with factory size.

 

I wonder if the towing packages alternator voltage is any higher than normal? I wouldn’t think it would be since they were probably designed around lead acid. Hell for my use I think it’s probably still overkill given the price difference.

 

I think I'm just getting my windows tinted for Christmas. Maybe the Cali Raised molle panels for the truck bed.

I run Duralast in my daily driver but AMGs in my offroad. Duralast have always last me 5 or more years in my daily but when I bang them around offroad it breaks them up inside and I have replaced a lot of them. Most of them under warranty but it's still a hassle. I'm pretty rough on my offroad stuff.

 

Yea ive always heard AGM batteries are better suited for off road.

 

Price/Value. 3 year warranty, last 5+ normally. I have a few high level draw items, winch and air compressor, and they haven't let me down.

 

Especially that white cooler!

I've heard the same. Sealed/can't leak, handle vibrations better. Applied Glass Mat in instead of lead plates. Been a long time since I even thought about the differences.

Anyone ever gotten water in their front diff? I changed my fluid again cause it was still milky. I can’t tell if it’s still leaking in or I just need like 3 or 4 flushes to get all the bad oil out. It was gold when I replaced it last time but changed it again yesterday and was milky again. I feel like it’s sealed well now. Just trying to determine if it takes multiple flushes to get bad oil out.

 

I installed a Cadillac Deville alternator in my Tacoma its 140 amp.
