    Mines been cracked for a couple years. Just changed the bushings out recently. Not too worried about it as the core support and fenders will most likely have to be remade.

    yeah, I just shortened my winch line and figured out how to splice that stuff. Just need a chafe guard for my line and may make some soft shackles with the extra line I have left over.

    Oh snap I never thought about making soft shackles o_O I just bought some cheaper Ranger brand ones, they have worked for Jeremiah for over 3 years so far no problems. All my winch stuff is Ranger since its a Canadian brand (ahem even if it is all renamed chineeezium)

    What length did you go with for wraps on winch? :popcorn:

    I believe the winch came with 100ft that barely fit the drum. I took out 20ft. Haven’t spooled it yet as the bumper is off getting some welding done. Hoping for a couple wraps but when spooled put it should have 2 wraps or so

    Lol Ive thought about that before. Would take a bit of doing to make it compatible with the different pin outs of different winches, but maybe one day Ill have time haha

    Got the winch install all finished tonight. Jeremiah made a mount for the on / off switch. We mounted it and connected everything. It has a great 'click' on and off feeling to this switch.

    Did you end up retrofitting the Warn wireless controller to work? Looks like the one in that pic is still wire-full? :D

    Went out with the plan last night to do some night wheeling on a harder trail we had never been down before.

    Well after an over an hour of light trails getting to the trail head we wanted to do.

    :bananadead:

    Took the wind out of our sails and we didnt even want to go see how far the dead end was.

    Learning how to use winchy winchy :rolleyes:

    The velcro straps for the recovery gear bag do exactly what I wanted, its super easy to get items out of the bag with out everything being all tangled up. :fistbump:

    Got the X-lock in my recovery satchel now, last piece I am waiting on is the Factor55 retention pully.

    Once I realized that Birch is hardwood I could not leave it out there. Plus there is little to no de-liming with Birch, its win win.

    Cleaned the entire section of trail, and removed a tree that was set to fall next wind storm.

    From this;

    To this;

    With a bunch of firewood for me :rolleyes:

    I will spam some more fun snow wheeling crap in here :cookiemonster:

    The trails I use constancy(VMUTS) have opened up another longer, more difficult trail for snow wheeling this season. Trail #93 has been given to 4x4's as it is to steep and rocky in area's of the hydro line to get the groomer through.

    We went out and did it on Saturday(Dec 19 2020), we did not rush as at all. Took our time and it was quite a long time. 7.5 hours from leaving home to getting back. 1/2 tank of gas for me.

    We met a few groups of machines on the trail even though it does not get groomed, guys love to try the hard stuff on their machines of course. Had a good chat with each group. Leader of one group pulled up beside my passenger side window and turned off his machine. We talked about how he has a taco and never thought his rig could do what we are doing out there.:yay:

    Guy in another group said the same thing when they passed 'I have a Jeep and never thought guys would be out here doing this' :humble:

    Thats cool you guys have a multiuse system like that, and that its friendly to 4x4 vehicles.

    Yes it is! I am addicted to it, my truck is pretty much designed to use this trail system as it spends 99% of its life on it.

    Last season it was a few trails opened for snow wheeling, this year more. Next season I am hoping for even more trails available for snow wheeling.

    Camping all year around on the trails as well, it is amazing.
