Got an invite to some private land, down south in Alberta. It was gorgeous down there, beauty day. 3 shooters and 3 bucks down the first am! We saw Whitetail, Muley, Elk, monster Coyotes, Fox, and even had an Owl watching me for awhile. It was truly a lucky day as we really just went down looking for meat... Love this hobby for the opportunities it presents.

But with a deer like that, I should be up on the mountain! I’ve never missed a hunting season in the last 32 years, but this year may be the first. If I miss it though, they’ll just be bigger next year. Maybe I’ll feel better by next week...

You guys hunt Safe !! the guy who got our lease and put in alot of time and expense was East of the Blueridge on family land Saturday and fell out of a tree stand he has been in hundreds of times. broke his shoulder,broke 3 ribs,and cracked 2 vertebra in his back. he came home yesterday a lucky man. BE SAFE so we can keep this thread alive

Use a rope to pull your gun up too, a friend of mine several years ago had his over his shoulder going up a tree and one of his tree pegs broke. He fell on his gun and cracked something.
